The He-Man line is really cool but gets me nervous lol. Hopefully it's not meant to replace the Retro line. Do a Galoob or LJN style Retro line at least if they're gonna replace it....bright side though I'm gonna save a lot of money if it is in fact done. That would be ironic as I used my He-Man figs as WWF figs, before I got any Hasbros.

Is the panel over? Was it brought up during Q&A?
I tried to ask but they capped the questions line just as I got there to run some 24/7 title bullcrap with some guy I didn't recognise, the whole thing only ran like 30 minutes. I just caught-up with Zack in the hallway as they were exiting. Hopefully somebody can get a 'WE WANT RETROS!' chant going strong and loud in there lol.

The MoTU figures are not replacing Retros. It is a completely separate line much like the TMNT, Ghostbusters, Zombies, etc.

I asked at the booth - the line isn’t dead, but it’s on ice basically. It sounds like distribution may have finally done them in; there was talk about maybe bringing the line back at some point with a relaunch or something, but honestly I don’t know how likely that might be. I thanked Mattel for bringing-out Diesel at least, and we talked a bit about other figures that the line still needed, but it doesn’t sound too positive - not completely hopeless, but yeah...

Awful news. I wonder what this does to demand for retros/hasbros? Does everyone start losing intrest and selling off collections? Or Does value stay put? Are customizers going to get busier to fill those voids?
Just sucks, and I blame Mattel and the retailers. It's obviously possible, but because they can't get them on shelves, it's been killed.

Well, crap.
I guess my biggest question is: are waves 8, 9, and 10 still going to be getting shipped out to retail?
Bummed it's over. This is the most excited I've been for wrestling figures in ages. Series 3 just screwed this line so hard. Well, series 3, Target, TRU going under, and a bit of Walmart too.

Dammit. Guess I can unfollow Ringside and quit many unnecessary Target/WalMart trips.

Well it's pretty gutting.
Was so glad to get Retros, but I had issues with some of the designs and the superstars they picked.
Should have just concentrated on legends, and should have made them more colourful with caricature Hasbro like heads.
I've got all my Retros on display right below my Hasbros, in comparison they are just so bland. Skin tones seem all wrong too. The new Macho Man looks like a black man for some reason.
The two big stores that stocked them here in the UK dropped them after series 3. They were practically giving them away at the end. Most of the stock seemed to have ended up in a secondary discount store, especially series 3.
I really don't think there was a huge demand beyond the older or hardcore collector.
It's a shame. Despite the issues I had, I bought every single figure and would have bought more. But I understand why they have been iced. Feels like such a huge missed opportunity, Mattel wanted to appeal to kids by including modern guys, but in the end, everyone ended up with at least some disappointment. It was sadly a misjudged line.

Well the Hasbro and Retro values are about to take a big hit. That really sucks. My interest in the Retro figures just climbed once diesel was announced. Then came the Elite Mabel and signing of Jeff Jarret. Man the possibilites, for this line.
Who knows what the future holds.

Mabel, Double J, Hart Foundation, Lex, Heel Jake, Piper in trunks etc they could have made. Instead we got mostly modern guys. Piss poor distribution, and it's dead. I wonder if there's any hope? Overhaul it, make it all flashbacks or maybe a couple modern guys, and make it online only?

Game over. Typical Mattel. Don't have the decency to actually announce it.

I even had He-Man turn heel once, lol.
