Anyone else have an awful feeling Series 10 could be the end of the line for these? And Diesel is just Mattel trying to satisfy the cries for him for the past 2 years? Just checked brickseek and popfinder a couple hours ago, and NOTHING of S7 has sold in a week around me. I don't know if it really comes down to lack of intrest or just the bad distribution of the line. I really hope Walmart and Target aren't sitting on tons of S7 at distribution centers and once they sell through what's on the pegs, S8 and S9 come in. But, I just have a bad feeling things aren't looking up for this line. I really hope I'm wrong, but I don't know. I mean maybe it is just that whoever wants them, gets them shortly after a new series drops, and perhaps overall Mattel does see the numbers they hope for. Trying to be optimistic, but I don't have the greatest feeling about this at this point. If I remember correctly they asked Bill that question once before since it seemed like the line was dying and he said that the Retros are actually doing good on sales so I like to think we are good for now at least.

I ordered full series 8 of amazon on 2/17. They estimated arrival between 3/14-4/8. I have yet to receive shipping notification. Anyone in the same boat? Well, kind of. I bought 2 Sheiks. But I noticed that the estimated shipping date has inched up on me a couple times now. I'm getting a bit worried, especially when I see the hyenas selling them for $50-100 now.

Has anyone confirmed case breakdowns on S8 yet? Sheik must be short packed.

Pretty sure the line is not doing too bad. I expect them to give one spot per series to a woman soon. Just a generic female body and they can reuse it every series for one more character - maybe slight variations such as new boots (similar to the punching action Jericho/Austin). Personally I would highly welcome the introduction of female characters to the line.

Personally I would highly welcome the introduction of female characters to the line. I’d love to see females added to the line, as well as managers, commentators and other on-screen talent - basically my wish list is very long I thought making one of the (seemingly) four annual waves an all-female line could get them going - they could create four unique female figures and then do another series a year later to give them time to create another four. With those eight female actions then they could have mixed-gender waves going forward after that without much more investment. I drew-up a idea of the first all-female series a while ago; adding moves as a guide then it could be something like: Ronda Rousey - military press (like Lesnar) Becky Lynch - clothesline Sensational Sherri - uppercut like the Hasbro Smash or Million Dollar Man 1? Trish Stratus - Ambrose action Two current stars and two legends each from different but quite recent eras seems the perfect balance. Then a second series could be: Charlotte Flair - chop (like Ric Flair) Alexa Bliss - jumper Miss Elizabeth - maybe create a new slap action based on the clothesline action? Lita - kick action like the Hardys? I can also see Nia Jax with a Skinner/Warrior 3 action for some reason. But I think the problem will be financial - even if they only did one or two female bodies, that’s still an investment that might not be possible if sales don’t warrant it.

I’d love Bobby Heenan but if the line ends at 10 and we never get another wave I’m content. All I wanted was Diesel and we’ve gotten some cool ones along the way. That being said, Heenan, Mabel, Double J, a 95 123 Kid, Luna, Liz, plenty of wants still. I just struggle to see how this nonsense at Target can keep going on and the line can continue.
Did anyone ask, or can someone ask, Trevor when preorders are going up for series 10? I don’t know how to do the lookup and tag member thing on my phone.

I love the Retro line for the most part. I wish they were a little less expensive, but I really enjoy the size, decoration, and I've been working on a WWF 80s Arena to display them in and that's much easier with 4.5 inch figures than 6.5 inch to 7.5 inch figures. I've managed to snag all of series 1,2, and most of the ones I've wanted from 3 through series 6. I snagged the retro ring for 20$ on Amazon and I LOVE IT.
The most fun thing has been posing and creating custom clothing and backgrounds for my Retro Figures. I've found special vests and accessories for most everyone on my Roster. I just love the whimsical feel and nostalgia of these figures.
My want list as of now: Iron Sheik, Sheamus, Kurt Angle this might be the only Jeff Hardy I ever buy. No disrespect to Jeff, I just refuse to buy figures wearing molded pants unless there's good exception. I think Junkyard Dog works really well considering the only rotund mold they've made was a T-shirt body. I know I'm gonna snag him. I keep trying to be responsible and say to myself "I'm only collecting one line. I have to be responsible" and then Mattel keeps making AMAZING FIGURES!

Judging from the way they use the male body molds, 8 different female body molds seems a little bit too much. Pretty sure though they will try to capitalize from the WM where they can. No reason to not throw out 3-packs of the womeon in every thinkable variant. So Ronda, Becky and Charlotte should be a given. Add Asuka as no 4 and 2-4 classic characters and you have a pretty sweet lot (Stratus, Richter, Alundra Blaze and Sherri come to my mind for example).

Hoping Mattel can do 4 sets a year and maybe throw an exclusive at Ringside or elsewhere.

So was thinking, who's the biggest name that doesn't have a retro yet?
With Taker, Warrior, Macho, Cena, Reigns, Lesnar, AJ, Rock, Austin, HHH, Mankind, Flair, HBK, Sting and Goldberg made.
I have to say of the guys Mattel can make and still assuming no Hogans in the near future, it's gotta be Bret, right?
Assuming the line continues past S10, do you think Bret must be right around the corner? And what are the odds we get him alongside Anvil in matching early 90's Hart Foundation attires?
If they just do Bret, what attire choices would be most wanted? Personally I would love him with molded entrance jacket like Hasbro did w/Macho #4. But, I highly doubt Mattel being up for making a mold they really couldn't use for any other figures later on. Otherwise I would love a paint splatter version like the Ultimate Edition, or the bright fusia attire from WM9.

A new version of Bret, Evil Doink, Razor, classic heel Piper and Yokozuna would def. be at the top on my list for rebooted Hasbro figures. And Lawler, Backlund, Jarrett, and King Mabel as far as the 'never was' list for me now that we have Goldust, Diesel and I guess Mankind- even though it's the corporate Attitude Era version while I wanted his original look. I know we'll probably never see it but a Ringmaster Austin would be great. But a pretty easy custom I guess from the Series 2 Austin. Also it's a real shame we'll never see a Damien Demento I guess. Simply because with his full entrance gear on he would have looked so awesome as a figure and probably a really fun task for the design team to work on lol.

Lawler, USA Luger and Tatanka are my other most wanted figures now. Though I'd really really like NWO Hogan, Hall and Nash and the New Age Outlaws for other eras.

Otherwise I would love a paint splatter version like the Ultimate Edition, or the bright fusia attire from WM9. Given that we are getting Diesel, Goldust and the Hasbro prototype Macho Man, I'm confident we have a real fan working on the line somewhere (Bill I don't think is involved anymore, but someone like him seems to be given those choices) so I'm pretty confident that they will know that we also want Hart Foundation Anvil as a priority. I could see a future series having two modern guys along with single releases of both Bret and Anvil in matching Hart Foundation gear to make the four for the series. I would go for the SummerSlam 1990 attire, the one with the outlined hearts as a contrast to the Bret 1 Hasbro - ideally I'd want both to have accessories: Bret to have removable shades and Anvil to have the beret/cap (also removable). The jackets were amazing that night, but probably asking way too much to include them as well. Give this Bret the clothesline action and maybe work the Kevin Owens headbutt figure to allow Anvil to hold another figure so they can combine for the Hart Attack? For a post-Hart Foundation Bret then I agree start with the WrestleMania IX look - that puts him firmly in the Hasbro era, and it's a great look for that phase of his career. After that if they want to release more Brets then they can move forward from there into his different outfits, definitely including the paint splatter. My favourite look was the all-black Hart Foundation '97, but I'd maybe keep that back until they make a decision on if they want to release all the Hart Foundation figures without Owen, or if they decide not to go there since it would be incomplete without Owen. If they did go for a '97 Hart Foundation collection, then I'd really love it if they could work-out a way to include the Hart Foundation jackets as removable accessories for Bret, Bulldog and Anvil, as well as Pillman's waistcoat. Some other big names still waiting to get Retros for me would be: -Eddie Guerrero -X-Pac/1-2-3 Kid/Syxx -New-Age Outlaws (Billy the difficulty there I guess) -Booker T -Rey Mysterio -Lex Luger -Jeff Jarrett (his figure must be coming in the main Mattel lines surely?) -Mabel (also like Mo, but not sure the situation there) -Edge and Christian -Dudley Boys -Bruno Sammartino -Andre -British Bulldog -Bob Backlund -Jerry Lawler (my number 1 pick, in light of the Owen situation) And of course other versions of guys we've already got: several different Undertakers and Kanes, another Cena, surfer Sting, Nash, etc. Jericho would've had a few others if he hadn't left WWE. Edit: forgot Big Show, Cactus Jack, Dude Love and the McMahons

Yeah, HF Anvil has to be way up there on the list of stuff we need. It’s kind of the same deal as Owen where I’m happy we at least got a Hasbro of him but in the totally wrong attire just based on the short window the figures were based on.
Bret really isn’t on my wants list. His Hasbro is perfect imo. If they put him in his jacket I’d love it but if we never get a new Bret I’m not losing any sleep over it.

Otherwise I would love a paint splatter version like the Ultimate Edition, or the bright fusia attire from WM9. I would definitely like the Hart Foundation Bret and Anvil, with them going in the HOF hopefully that makes them likely. I like the idea of the Summer Slam 90 attire with the outlined heart on the tank top (if I remember correctly that's what the original renderings from Hasbro looked like) or the WM6 attire where it says Hart Foundation on the back of the trunks. I also like the idea of them coming with removable glasses (the silver hitman shades for Bret and a regular pair of black glasses for the Anvil), and/or the pink beret for Anvil. Others that would be cool would be USA Luger, Double J, mid 90s Jerry Lawler, King Mabel, Heel British Bulldog, Heel Jake Roberts (blue or black flame attire), Mr. Perfect, and now that we have a Diesel a Razor Ramon would be cool. Probably not high on others lists but I'd like a Tugboat, Natural Disaster's attire Earthquake, and a long tights Tatanka from his debut. For Monday Night Wars stars to go with the ones they have already made, Hollywood Hogan, Hall, Nash, Luger, New Age Outlaws and XPac to go with the Triple H would be cool. As for more of the stars we've already had, still waiting on a long tights Macho King with a removable cowboy hat or crown and scepter (though they need to do a new head mold, the one they use has to be the worst from this line along with the HBK), another Ultimate Warrior, a mid 90s HBK (also with new head sculpt) surfer Sting would be awesome, and a WCW or early WWF version of Y2J.
