I use to get excited for the Walking Dead too, but now it’s like Raw, I can barely get through it

They HAVE TO give us something more of the night king. Too many theories for him to just shatter and that be that.

Ok. I’m laying my bets out there now. Bran has been marked, he will sit on the throne as the new Night King.

I’m not gonna say the episode was bad, because it really wasn’t bad at all.
I just felt the ending was flat.

the whole episode was a whirlwind, a lot to take in and kept a chaotic pace. minimal dialogue in the first half of the episode, communication through body language, all to build the suspense.
thought the episode was absolutely fantastic through and through.

I'll be that guy; Arya seemingly falling out of the sky to shatter the Night King was silly. I'll reserve judgment if there's more to come, but currently, sheesh ...

I enjoyed the episode in a casual sort of way right up until Arya came flying towards the Night King and then I turned into a hyena screaming at my TV. I loved it. Not today, Ice Maul. I've loved Arya's entire arc post turning into No One. My assumption was that there would be a showdown with Night King and Jon and they used that against me. We have literally watched Arya train to kill since Season 1. It was right there in front of our face. All of that time in Braavos earning those skills, and then to have her kill the Night King in the same place Bran handed her that dagger was crazy.
The entire episode was misdirection. Bran using the ravens to lure in the Night King, Arya's entire side quest, Jon not being the Prince that was Promised. Brown eyes, green eyes, blue eyes. Cersei, b*tch... Arya is coming for you.
I totally agree about needing context for the Night King. Unfortunately, I'm not sure we're going to get any more depth. Maybe Bran weighs in with a post battle story. Truly just a battle of men being more interesting than the battle against the supernatural to GRRM. I do think it somewhat cuts the suspense. I think there is a 0% chance Cersei lives. Excited to see how it plays out, though.
I watched the episode twice last night and I'll probably watch it again at some point today. It takes on an entirely new perspective once you know where Ary's journey leads. I get some of the criticism, specifically how it pertains to your expectation versus reality, but I think it was extremely well executed.

Really quite disappointed in that. Can't think of a positive narrative point coming out of that entire thing. Just feel nothing. I was stoked for this going in but come out feeling very let down.
Think I've learned that women are smart and funny.... and strong and... powerful, yes that's it.

Probably the best episode of GoT yet, until the last 3-4 minutes. This was the Miz-Cena WM27 of endings. So anticlimatic is hurts your soul. Also, if Brienne and Jaime doesn't try to make butt babies by the end of this season, I'll be kinda ticked off.

You build the Night King as this insane superhuman threat for 7 seasons and we don’t even get to see the guy in combat.
Instead, he’s just a secondary villain.

The whole episode came off as poorly written. The whole battle was ridiculous because Jon and his armies showed no basic strategies what so ever. Why have the Dothraki charge into the darkness with no idea who or how many they’re going up against? Why have the Unsullied in front of the trenches when they could have been behind them and attack any dead that come through? Why land your dragon in the middle of the battle field? And how did no white walkers, and a few hundred dead, not see Arya get the jump on the NK?
