To think that his career was basically just 8 years in the WWE.From April of '02 to May of '10 and then his few month run in 2014 and his final match last night.Crazy that in that span and actually even less if you factor in the time he was injured that he had such and amazing career. To me he had one of the best Wrestlemania programs ever with the build to his match against Triple H at WM 21,had a few all time classic bouts against Triple H at Vengeance '05 & Taker at WM 23,some legendary feuds again against Triple H & Taker, awesome heel turn on Rey Mysterio and heel run in late '09 to '10 and then cameback twice and delivered in be time matches years after he had stop being and active wrestler.
While not in my top ten all time surely in my top twenty or so,loved the bulk of his career and really should that even starting at a late age and not being extremely talented in the ring that if you put the hard work in,willing to learn and truly career about the business that you can turn into one of the GOAT's.

Had a great career. Evolution would piss me off but Batista was always a beast. Great run carrying Smackdown but then especially loved 2010 Heeltista run. Perfect way to end it in a helluva match with Hunter last night and hope to see him in the HOF next year.

I've never understood why people wanted to end their careers doing the job. I understand leaving the company but if it's my last time, I want things to end positive. You go out on your back and pass the torch. It's an industry tradition

You go out on your back and pass the torch. It's an industry tradition But most arent passing any torches. Flair-Michaels, Michaels-Taker, Batista-Triple H, Austin-Rock....I cant think of anyone off the top of my head that are actually passing any torches. They just have one final match against some old timer. I know of the tradition of if you're leaving the/a company you go out on your back but not for retirement.

There's nothihg left for him to do. I'd rather he'd won - but then again, the match was all about Paul getting retribution for Richard Fliehr. The odd thing, is that his movie charisma, still didn't quite translate to the WWE. Hopefully we get one last fig, with the updated ink. I had meant to ask in the Q&A, about the possibility of getting another Dave - or even if they're still allowed to make him... but it slipped my mind. If we don't get one, maybe someone will make some decals of the new tats. I just recently bought a loose elite 30.
