1993. The year that started it all for Monday Night Raw!
What is your all-time favorite moment from that inaugural year? If that is too hard, give a small list of your favorite moments/matches. Were you watching live at the time?
There are so many options, but my favorite match has to be Doink versus Mr. Perfect in their final King of the Ring qualifying match followed closely by Shawn versus Marty for the Intercontinental Title.
It was a very fun first year for the show we all love to complain about these days.

I am from Canada, so no, I wasn't watching it live. I never seen a single episode of Raw until 1996 when my friends and I went in and purchased a satellite dish together to watch Raw, Nitro and the PPVs.
Though in watching the 1993 Raw shows on the WWE Network a few years ago, I have a few moments that I enjoyed....
- Mr. Perfect beating Ric Flair to make him leave the WWF - Brutus Beefcake's return match with Ted DiBiase and the briefcase to the face situation - Hulk Hogan, Beefcake and Jimmy Hart forming the Mega-Maniacs! - HBK vs. Jim Duggan matches - Razor Ramon vs. 123 Kid - Michaels vs. Jannetty for the IC Title - Jim Cornette showing up on Raw - Lex Luger/Yokozuna contract signing - The Quebecers defeating the Steiners for the Tag Titles - Crush returning and attacking Randy Savage
There was a lot of good stuff that year for Raw. It was the perfect time to cancel Prime Time Wrestling and begin Monday Night Raw.

I think the main thing was we finally got top superstars facing each other on TV - other than PPVs and SNME's. With SNME's no longer happening this was a great trade off. I remember getting only a few good matches on Superstars between top stars and most of the time it was the Bushwhackers vs. the Nasty Boys or Texas Tornado vs. the Undertaker (which was only about 3 minutes of a match), so getting longer matches from main roster vs main roster stars was great. Definitely agree with what was said, Perfect/Flair, Perfect/Model, Perfect/Michaels, Hacksaw/Michaels, Jannetty/Michaels, the Bret/Lawler stuff with Bret's parents, Savage/Yoko, Perfect/Doink (3 different matches), Savage/Crush angle, Razor/123 Kid and the Money Inc. angle, IC Battle Royal, Brutus/DiBiase and the Mega Maniacs formation, Hacksaw/Yoko, Yoko/Bret contract signing, etc. Also, it was only an hour so things weren't over done.

Even though WWF wouldn't succeed as well during 1993-1995, you could still tell it was a dawning of a new era with Raw and a lot of new talent and a lot of guys getting over with new gimmicks or better storylines. 1993 was the best year out of the three years, though. 1994-1995 were just "meh" while 1993 they were really trying to make things better.
