So let me start off by saying that I legitimately enjoy 205 Live and look forward to the show every week. There is quality wrestling on the show, the matches are given plenty of time, and there isn’t a lot of wasteful fluff.
Now, even though I enjoy the show, I realized after the draft just how bare the 205 roster is now. There are no stars/ big names to keep people watching. Not that there were “big” stars before, but I think it’s definitely a huge blow to lose Ali, Buddy Murphy, and Cedric within the last few months. Those are three great talents that 205 Live will suffer from not having on their show. In my opinion, there is no one remaining that can carry an entire show. Are the remaining talents talented? Yes. Do I look forward to their matches? Yes. But I’ll be the first to admit it is not as intriguing. Any thoughts?

Should have traded Rey and Balor there, among others.

No, it survived without Neville and Aries, it’ll survive without Ali, Cedric and Murphy.

It'll survive. If SDL goes to 3 hours in the fall, then that might be a different story. Though if they can it for SDL's extra hour then it'd happen anyway regardless of the talent roster.
I do agree that it's much less intriguing however. I haven't watched since Mania. I'm not a Tony Nese guy, so him being the man on the show doesn't help. Good wrestler and talented in the ring and all that, but something about him just doesn't do it for me. Oney Lorcan and Drew Gulak are probably the only guys I have any level of good interest in now. For me, losing Ali, Cedric, and Murphy are huge blows. Even TJP, I really liked him as well.

I think they should just merge it with NXT and do the Cruiserweight Division there, it would be so much better that way, i also feel like Chad Gable would be perfect for the Cruiserweight Division, they are doing nothing with him and he's really good

I enjoy 205 Live when I watch it. But I must admit I have been missing more episodes as of late. They're still having great matches but the lack of star power makes it less of a priority.
I honestly thought during the Shake Up they were going to merge 205 with SD for their move to Fox. Add some depth to the roster and another title for the rumored third hour. And Daniel Bryan seems to want to work with some of the talent. So it seemed like a win/win to me.

There are cruiserweights on Raw and Smackdown, who win the world titles. No need for weight divisions in modern WWE. So 205 Live is just a show for lighter guys who aren’t good enough to be on the main shows. When people prove themselves valuable, they absolutely should move up to the main shows - and now the coast is clear for others to take the reigns and prove themselves. I’d like to see Gulak step up.

The move to fox doesn't happen for a bit yet. Adding 205 to smackdown at the sametime as the superstar shake-up (and all of the nxt callups that haven't seen a lot of action) would make it hard to fill the 2 hour slot waiting for the move.

205L should really be a show at Full Sail where crowds actually care about that type of wrestling. Every time Ive attempted to watch it the crowds have been dead for the show.

I just had a look at the 205 Roster earlier today and it looks really weak at the moment. All the losses this year actually seem pretty big.
Add these guys, it'll give them something to do and it'll give the brand some new life. - Tyler Breeze - Lio Rush, going back - Lucha House Party, going back - Sin Cara - Chad Gable, i want to see him go as a singles star on SD but it's doubtful he'll be used. - Xavier Woods, if New Day breaks up OR just have him appear on both shows, maybe even bring the title to SD. - Danny Burch, put him with Lorcan again and make them the heel team on 205, WWE will surely pull 25 matches out of them and LHP.

it had a nice run but was never sustainable. honestly at this point disband it, split the roster and just have them be featured on the weekly shows....with SD most likely going to 3 hours in the move to FOX they have plenty of time during the week to fit in 10-15 minutes of Cruiserweights
if they want to go basic, you have the Champion be able to defend or show up on both shows, and when he's tied up on one show with a feud the other guys just do the same thing as the rest of the roster....trade wins in meaningless matches.
Akira Tozawa - RAW Ariya Daivari - RAW The Brian Kendrick - Smackdown Drew Gulak - NXT Jack Gallagher - NXT Humberto Carrillo - RAW Mike Kanellis - NXT Oney Lorcan - Smackdown Tony Nese - Smackdown (to start)
3 guys to each brand. And there's enough guys on the roster for them to mix it up, not like we would need to see 6 months of only Tozawa vs Daivari on RAW.
Honestly if it was me, I'd make a big deal of the move, and i'd do something for awhile where every CW Championship match on PPV was a 3-way. So what you do is have the Champion appearing on both RAW & SD, and the undercard fight it out for the spot in the title match. Think mini-tournaments. Every month leading up to it, sometimes you get the same guy in, but it leads to a triple threat for the belt. it gives people a REASON to care about the CW matches every week, and has a nice "topper" to the matches on the PPV shows....even if its the pre-show

I don't understand. I haven't watched any 205 Live since it began, but after the CWC they said all the cruiserweights would be on the Raw roster because they needed to pad out the roster for the third hour, and that 205 Live would be an extra hour in the week just to showcase the cruiserweights and allow them to develop storylines they didn't have time for on Raw. Then they gave 205 Live a GM which had me hella confused because Raw's GM is kayfabe in charge of the cruiserweights. Then they start drafting cruiserweights to Raw even though they're already on that roster.
I don't get it.

The problem with the cruiser weights this time around by WWE, is they did EVERYTHING opposite of what the WCW style was, and even of what the WWE style was from 2002 - 2008. Having the cruiser weights wrestle just the cruiser weights was boring and pointless.
Years ago, Rey Mysterio one week would be wrestling Jamie Noble for the CW Title, then the following week tagging with Edge to wrestle Angle and Benoit. Tajiri would be wrestling for the CW Title one week, and the following week be wrestling Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas in a tag match.
And plus, when your two main guys on Raw (Seth Rollins and AJ Styles) do the same exact moves you see on 205 Live, I really have no need or want to watch that show then. I can see that style of wrestling with Rollins and Styles.
And for an added bonus, when Neville, Aries, and Enzo were there, they had star power in a way. Guys like Finn Balor need to be on 205 Live to make fans truly invested.

They need to end the show and fold the division into Smackdown. Especially if it goes to three hours on Fox.
