It's totally still a work. He's just Vince's double agent.

It’s really not hard to do when your employer is paying you good money to do it. If Vince wanted that WM match vs Brock to go any differently then what it did it would have. They are both employees who have jobs to do. At the end of the day if Vince wanted/liked what Ambrose was proposing it would have been in the match. No when it comes to his performance it’s all on Ambrose. He’s not the owner of the company he was hired to entertain the crowd. It doesn’t matter if Brock didn’t want to do things that Ambrose wanted to do. If Vince wasn’t OK with it things would have been different. But clearly Vince was OK with what the match was going to be. So then it was Dean’s responsibly to go out there and give 100% effort to entertain the crowd, because it’s his job and he was paid to do it. Problem is, Brock and Heyman shot down every idea Dean had and Vince with his mancrush on Brock, went with it. But Vince (their boss) went with it and that should be the end of it. That doesn’t give Ambrose the right to not give a cr@p and phone the match in. He still had a job to do which was entertain the people who paid to see it. I don’t care if Vince wanted Brock to squash him in ten seconds he still was being paid to bust his butt for that 10 seconds. And there were plenty of matches once he became wwe champion where they looked like half speed walk throughs instead of actual matches because he was just going through the motions instead of busting his butt to entertain the crowd.

Ambrose was too good for the WWE and at least now he can show his full potential.
Looking back the WWE botched Ambrose big time. He was forced into a squash match against an overpaid part timer at Mania and all the passion he put into his work was ignored.

I can see him going back to CZW why? he’s in AEW and is going after the title belt probably after an Omega feud.

Good for him. I’m looking forward to see what he does. I can see jumping ship to AEW being a trend once other wrestlers contracts expire. Vince has got to be losing his mind

AEW will be the perfect place for Ambrose/Moxley to show off what he can really do with some creative freedom. I have high hopes for his run there, and if successful, others may follow. This will then hopefully force to WWE to change up for once.

I'm betting he saw Lesnar at Money in the Bank and finalized his AEW contract soon after.

They just posted a promo he cut after his debut last night and it is awesome. I think his inevitable match with Kenny Omega is going to be excellent. Moxley has the best in-ring psychology out of anyone I've seen in a while, and being able to go 20-30 minutes with a guy like Kenny will allow him to showcase that. I love that they're marketing him as a star already in AEW. I never felt like they did that during his time in WWE. Even when he was champion, it never really felt like he was THE guy in the company.

I don't know if others will agree, but for me, he was great when he returned in the summer. It all took a sh*t after he turned heel and did a bunch of hokey garbage after that great turn on Rollins the night of Reigns' announcement. I wouldn't say his look was a reason for the wasting his talent.

AEW made Moxley look more like a "Lunatic Fringe" in 5 minutes than WWE did in 5+ years of shouting it on commentary every week. This is the heel run he deserved in WWE - not getting shots in his ass and becoming a germaphobe, with a stupid siren added to his entrance.
I can completely understand him becoming frustrated, jaded, and unmotivated in WWE when he's handed crap week-after-week, and being handcuffed creatively.
I'm thrilled to see what he'll be able to do now that he has the freedom to do what he wants with AEW and NJPW. Hope he tears the house down with Juice and Omega.

Can we please stop acting like Moxley didn’t do exactly what he was doing as Ambrose in WWE? Came out through the crowd and hit both guys with Dirty Deeds. “WAR IS ON!” Some of you are drinking way too much AEW Kool-Aid.
