braun is the exact same figure as elite 68. seth rollins has an old attire and an old headscan. finn has an old headscan. AJ is a great figure besides the rubber shirt. what happened here??

Top talents I’m pretty sure is gonna b a failure. One of my local Walmart’s has been clogged with series 1 since it was released they have like 5 ajs and an assortment of two to 3 of the others. It’s so frustratimg even to look at. The only elite they have that’s not top talent is series 64 Cena

It doesn't appeal to me at all, but I don't think that matters. The line isn't geared toward me. It's geared toward that prevalent notion that it's always some kid's first time watching wrestling, and that when they decide to get into the action figure game, there's a baseline assortment of guys it'd be wiser to have filling the pegs.

I definitely see why you say it's a total mess.
I'm very disappointed that Braun still does not have black pants on any of his elites. With Top Talents being the same guys released annually, there's still hope that we'll get one in black pants I guess.
I like the attire choice on Finn (he's certainly the only one I'd be getting from this set), but I definitely was hoping for a repeat of the 2018 Top Talent's scan, being Finn's best one, being that they actually filled his beard in all the way through.
That being said, I can't complain, considering that it'll save me money since I have multiple figures of each of these guys already, giving me the opportunity to get other WWE releases instead.

Seth wore that attire several times last April and May, so it’s not that old. And I know he wore it at Summerslam 2016 too. But I mean really who cares??? So what if Braun gets re-released? Don’t buy it! It’s a series separate from the main line elite series to put the main guys in so they can get the characters we want in the regular elite line. I don’t know why there is always someone who has to get all riled up every time Mattel does something they don’t care for. This is a strategy for us, so stop bitching about it before these guys end up back in the elite line every single set.

For the most part (and in theory - we’ll see how the execution goes), this line will help the main line not get clogged up with the same guys wave after wave. E67 probably wouldn’t happen without this, as they’d need to re-release another Finn or Rollins in there. Does strike me as odd that they’re just using the exact same Braun as E68, but then with E69 we get a wave of fresh faces again for the most part.
So I would say end of the day, it’s more beneficial to collectors than detrimental - we get new figs in the main line and the ones kids “want” (I put in parenthesis because we’ve all seen how these clog up shelves) are relegated to their own line.
I’d have a different opinion if they shared a SKU with the main elites and prevented stores from ordering those, but they don’t.

That Seth Rollins figure is an embarrassment. I can accept that they gave him that attire. He did briefly wear the attire again during the summer of 2018.
HOWEVER, that headscan should NEVER, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER be released again. Ever. Ever. EEEEEEVER. The fact that Top Talents 1, Elite 64, multiple Basics and a Battlepack have all been released with the NEW Seth Rollins headscan.....WHY go back to the old one?
I call "Spreadsheets" on this one because somebody just looked at the attire and was like, "oh, we did that same attire for Elite 52" and just cranked out the same figure, including the headscan that was used because it was too much trouble to add the new head I guess. AT LEAST they added the Monday Night Rollins shirt instead of the vest again....it's the figures ONLY redeeming quality, but probably not enough for a $19.99 purchase on a figure essentially EVERYONE has.

Its a money maker, thats why it exists, Mattel dont really care if those on a forum dislike the choices, kids love em, and thats the market, anyone who thinks mattel really care what members on here say are mistaken

More "top" guys to clog the shelves and prevent other figures from being stocked. The current series has dominated my local Target and prevented any new regular elites from being ordered and stocked.

Well, they shouldn’t. They have different DPCI numbers than the regular Elites so they should have no impact on them. My local Targets have been restocking both Top Talent and regular Elites.

Part of the problem is their pricing. Walmart recently went back to $15.99 (fkn bless their souls they did something consumer friendly for once) on the regular elites but the Wrestlemania and Top Talent sets are still like $17.97 or whatever the old higher price was.

I know they have different DPCI numbers. I know they shouldn't interrupt the regular elites, in theory, but my local Target has rather limited space for WWE figures overall, and they are clogging the pegs that would normally have regular elites on them.

same here. My Target said they wont get any new ones in until the 40 AJs sell They have different DPCI’s That doesn't necessarily lead to them ordering more if their shelves are stuffed with these.

They have different DPCI’s That doesn't necessarily lead to them ordering more if their shelves are stuffed with these. They don’t order anything anyway it’s automated. Once the item dpci hit 3 or less pieces in their system the distribution center automatically ships more product. So if they aren’t getting more regular Elites that means there’s more than 3 in the store. If they aren’t on the shelf have someone scan the regular elite dpci and if they say there’s none in the back you can ask them or the manager (if they say they can’t) to manually update the inventory to zero so the system will order more. I have done that with both Mattel’s DC Multiverse and Batman Missions lines.

I have done that with both Mattel’s DC Multiverse and Batman Missions lines. In my particular store, there have been maybe two regular elites on the shelf for the past month while popfindr says 4. I check at least once per week and ask them to scan to see if there are anymore in the back. They always tell me no, they are all on the pegs. Even if they were ordered, they've scattered the top picks set over their pegs to where there would be little-to-no room to put them out. And it doesn't look like anyone has purchased any of the top pick elites (mostly AJ's) in several weeks.
