Just finished watching the Dark Side Of The Ring episode with him. Highly recommended and the last 15 minutes are VERY interesting.
Had he lived, do you think he would have been the Million Dollar Man instead of Ted Dibiase? I think he would have played the role very well because he lived a lavish lifestyle anyway.

I want to say he did tag with Tully Blanchard in Texas, didn't he?? If so, then yes, he would probably fit right in as a Horsemen.

Ahh yes they did. The Dynamic Duo I believe they were called.

He's one of those guys who, sadly, gets overlooked as the years go on. His reverse elbow drop from the second rope was a thing of beauty. I think he would have been an excellent addition to the Four Horsemen. If he eventually went to the WWF, I don't think he would have got the big push. Maybe a couple of runs with the Inter-Continental title. Such a shame he passed away so young & under "unsolved" circumstances.

I think Gino could have been great at any arrogant heel character he played, but man, it is hard to think anyone would have done a better job as the Million Dollar Man than Ted DiBiase. He, like Mark Calaway, played their characters to a tee. To me he would've made a good Horsemen.

I could definitely see him as a horsemen had he lived, maybe they would have brought him up instead of having Sid or Luger.

I don't know about Gino Hernandez being a Horseman. He was pretty similar to Flair with his promos, sunglasses, the suits, fast cars, fast women. I don't know if the characters would compliment each other. He was a talented guy, but you put him there and the stable has too much of the same thing.

I think he could, I mean Tully Blanchard was a lot like Flair in ways with how he dressed, talked and the sunglasses and such.
I could see Gino getting kicked out of the Horsemen and then becoming a huge baby face to feud with Flair.

He was great as a heel so I have no doubt he could've pulled off the babyface role as well.

No, he wouldn't do the M$M gimmick as good as Ted DiBiase did.
Gino was a bit of a hot head with his character, Ted was always cool and collective it seemed as a heel.

Gino as a Horsemen would have been a natural fit. Him taking Ole's place and Tully/Gino being the tag champs where Arn gets raised to a singles upper mid carder. It would have sucked not having the Arn/Tully tag team but we wouldnt have known what we lost either.

If he didn't live the life he did. things may have been extremely different for him.

A lot of great things could've happened with him if it wasn't for cocaine, but I think he was better suited for NWA rather than the WWF

I think he could have progressed to a larger role in either of the big 2. But man oh man....that cocaine habit would have caught up with him sooner rather than later.

In all retrospect that cocaine habit did catch up to him sooner with him dying so young.

You honestly think Flair would want someone as good looking as Gino in the horsemen? That would take the shine off, Flair.

Flair allowed Lex Luger to be in the Horsemen - who looked like a muscled up Mick Jagger in ways - and girls love Mick and Lex.

The word going around was that the WWF was interested in bringing in Hernandez and Adams when they were hot in 1985. I personally think if Gino would have lived he would have eventually go to the WWF but end up with an Al Perez type run. If it would have been NWA, Gino probably would have had a one off match with Flair then fade away.
Gino was more suited for the CWA at that time and Memphis. And this is coming from one of the biggest Gino fans.
Gino was more suited to be the big fish in a small pond.
