So over the course of the last 2 weeks myself and my wife drove just under 3,000 miles starting in Miami doing a loop around Florida, Georgia, North Carlolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana and then finally back to Miami.
to say i was excited about my potential new figs being added to my collection was an understatement. But how wrong was I?
think I must have been to around 12-15 different Walmart’s and all I got from there was the DX battle pack. I had absolutely no joy from the half dozen or so target shops either. I did get retrofest Hacksaw and Ric Flair from a GameStop in New Orleans.
i found some nice figs in a flea market in Tennessee just outside Gaitlinburg. I bought a signed Kevin Nash for a decent price.
But my experience has left me wondering how everyone in the states build their collections? I had long thought i would end up with a separate suitcase filled with my buys but wasn’t to be.
turns out you guys have it as hard as us in the UK. Ah well need to stick to eBay.

Yikes.
We’re still in the post Harley depression over here. Next time, hit up some board members to keep an eye out for figs for you and get them sent to your hotel. See the sights, not empty shelves!

Still done plenty of site seeing but was always on the lookout for a Walmart. The boneless BBQ wings at Walmart made up for it anyway ha!

Mattel/Walmart/Target are dumb AF. Not sure how they screw up putting the right amount in stores.
Canada is empty as well.
At least Toys R Us stock the stores well

Even if people of this board dont believe me... My uncle travels every weeks from canada to the usa, a lot of miles, and when he takes his breaks , he stops at all the walmart and target on his way, at every hours of the day. To this day, he found for me all the chases or rares figs, but he can go to 25 stores and finding nothing, he collects hot wheels so he go check for me but also for his collection. The difference between the usa and the canada where i lives, is that at least in the usa there is a chance that you can find something rare or new, here in canada, no chance in hell, we never get chases and they skip most of the series, they sent us what that they cant sell in the usa, its sad but without my uncle, my collection is nothing.

What were you expecting to find. If you thought you’d stumble onto an exclusive only checking 15 stores, I’m afraid you had some unreal expectations.

I take it you went to Flea Traders in Sevierville? There's a kid/dad that set up there a lot. They have a bunch of figures but are usually overpriced. They use to post on Craigslist & Facebook all the time.

I order most of mine from Ringside Collectibles. Otherwise I live in Eastern Massachusetts outside of Boston. Every Sunday I will hit all of my local Walmarts (2) and Target (1) and then head into NH where there's about 3 Targets and 2 Walmarts all within a half hours drive. Haven't had much luck at all lately, but when they all restock i have a field day and it's a lot of fun hunting for certain figures. Frankly I just think your timing was bad. Most Walmarts and Targets are currently empty. With a few figures left that no one really wants.
We're all waiting for the next release, which is....i have no clue. Should be soon though. Since all my local stores have a huge empty section where WWE figures should be.
By the way, I'd get that Nash auto figure checked. Flea Markets are an epitome where scammers love to flock with their stuff.

I actually got lucky in North carolina last week. Only stopped at 3 Targets and found 2 Wolfe figures. They are out there. You just got to utilize popfndr and brickseek to see where to go.

This is what we tell y’all all the time. Everybody in the UK (and everywhere else too) talk about how great it is to be a collector in America because of this and that. Then you come here and realize it’s a barren wasteland and we were right all along. Us yanks aren’t talking out our asses about the retail situation here, believe it or not.

A lot of us find what we want, but it’s usually not easy.

I can't with this account 😂😂😂 legit no one here believes your uncle is a truck driver. Only way this is partly true is if there is a Chinese eBay account named "UncleTruckDriver" or "TruckDrivingUncle"

With most of the store exclusive lines cancelled, elite series only stocked before Mania season and in the fall, and the remaining store exclusive series in such short supply I won't even waste time looking around stores.

Sorry that you struck out on your figure hunt, but hope you enjoyed the trip and sounds like you got to see a decent amount of places. Unfortunately what you found is pretty standard for most stores here unless you manage to get there right as they're stocking the shelves.

retail is dying. It will have to adapt and change or it will go away (i.e. Toys R Us, Sears, K Mart, etc)

Wife and I normally go by there when we vacation up here , but we’re on a big family vacation with mom/dad/siblings this time.
