The bills DiBiase and/or Virgil carried appeared to be authentic and not counterfeit. I’ve always been curious to know if they were provided by WWF or did he have to supply them himself. I assume he had to supply and constantly carry around a couple thousand dollars worth of hundred dollar bills but never knew for sure. Also when he would put a bill in the mouth of his defeated opponent would they keep the money or have to return it to him once they got back into the locker room? I don’t read or watch many shoots so not sure if this topic has ever been brought up and discussed.

You would think the poor jobber got to keep the $100 as a tip for doing the job. What were they making, like $300 a match?

Knowing Vince he probably took it out their check. “Normally you’d get $300 but since you’re facing Ted tonight we’re gonna pay you $200 and DiBiase is gonna put the other $100 in your mouth after the match.”

I think DiBiase discussed this in one of his shoot videos and he said the money that DiBiase gave away was real and the people were allowed to keep it. I believe he said it was part of the expenses for the show so the money was added to the budget before hand, it wasn't out of anyone's pocket.

Bruce Pritchard mentioned that Dibiase would have to "sign out" the money every month. Basically just sign the paper saying that the office gave him the cash to use.

Was it Bruce who also said that DiBiase was told by Vince to every-now-and-then when he is at a restaurant to buy everyones lunch or dinner just to show that he was that rich? Vince really wanted him to live that gimmick.

LOL Bruce also tells a great story how he and Ted were out drinking all night and someone broke into their rental car and stole their bags and Dibiase nearly had a heart attack because he thought he had the Million Dollar belt in the bag. Lucky for him Virgil actually took it back to the hotel room after the show and Ted was too drunk to remember. That sobered him up quick!
