Ever since that popular auction site made all fixed price items "good til cancelled". I've noticed what sellers are now doing is listing at auction for a high price starting bid. And then just relisting every few days.
Just wanted to vent and see if anyone else noticed it and have been annoyed by it haha.
I always search for figs and sort newest first. Just wish they would go back to allowing a fixed time, so at least maybe you'd only have to see the same crap every 30 days instead of every 3-7.

Ebay is a joke nowadays, win an item cheap, they will just refuse to sell it, then they relist and try again (Ebay barely punishes it because no one rarely reports it, as it's such a task to report it)
Not to mention all the shill bidding, I notice it more from Business sellers, who have most of the latest Mattel figures, shill bids to get the price they want, probably win it themselves a lot, rinse and repeat.
So all in all very difficult to grab a bargain nowadays.
I've had more success selling on Facebook this year.

I rarely have time to sit and place my bid in the last seconds. Usually I end up outbid at the last minute by like a buck or 2. I really like BIN w/offer option. Lets you reach an agreement for a reasonable price, plus I just don't have the patience to wait for an auction to end either. Then also it's easier to buy/pay when you have a special promotion period from ebay for discount or extra ebay bucks.

I like the good til cancelled BINs since the unsold listing don't clogg my unsold and not relisted section and I don't have to relist every 30 days. On the other hand, on the rare times I don't have anything really good to put on auction, I want to do 10 day BINs I can't do it under the new system.
Shill bidding is a little frustrating as a seller for me to try and gauge sold prices because someone selling something only sees the higher priced sold and not the multiple extremely low priced sold items so someone wants the top dollar rather than something in the middle. I buy items locally to sell and try and gauge, if I'm not already knowledgeable, the prices based on sold listings.
I've been selling on ebay for 10 years and other than a rare issue or two, it's been fairly perfect.
