Didn't see a thread about this, but Masked Republic announced that they're partnering with Boss Fight Studio to release a line of Lucha figures. Its gonna feature 6 inch lines for both collectors and kids, as well as rings and playsets.

I'm super intrigued by this and curious as to how it will work. Will it be just AAA guys? CMLL? Knowing how those two companies have a blood feud and refuse to do anything together I have no idea how the copyrights will work, lol. But there's so many guys I would want!

Can not wait for this line. Probably some of the coolest looking 1/12 wrestling figures ever produced will come out of this line, if it survives

I’m just stoked that they know we wanna display these with our Wwe figures. They realize that’s important and produced these to be in scale with Mattel figures. Something that I hope whoever ends up producing AEW figures realizes is important to us collectors.

If it's Masked Republic releasing the figures, they work with AAA when they do conventions in the States (i.e. ExpoLucha), so either expect them to be AAA figures or a line of "Leyendas" (legends), or maybe a combination of both. Know the owners of Masked Republic are pretty tight with Konnan so the figures will probably be people Konnan knows pretty well

Getting close to the announcements for this line. Really looking forward to it.
They seem to be wanting to do stuff that appeals to kids, so that makes me wonder if these will show up at Walmart or something.
Because the only brick and mortar stores I have seen Boss Fight products in are comic book stores.
Total Pipe-dream: But I'd love for them to reach out to MGM and see if they could make figures of some Lucha Underground characters, like Matanza and Prince Puma. Wrestlers that, since they were under a mask, Boss Fight would not have to pay likeness rights.

Yeah, I’m totally on board with these if they somewhat match up scale-wise with Mattel Elites. I know it has been mentioned in this thread they will be the same scale, but I’m still taking a wait and see approach before I get too excited. Looking forward to the reveals next weekend.
