Never been a fan of sports (other than 1-2 hockey games a year and 1 baseball game every several years). Wrestling (when not absolutely terrible) is a great "sports" type product with characters and stories.

If surprised wresting isn't as popular, really. Sports are pretty linear competitions, but wrestling has something for everyone. Even bell to bell there are so many styles and match types, whereas a basketball or football game is pretty much the same (of course there are slight difference in rules in pro and college). But honestly I love wrestling because there is no off season, you can follow careers of wrestlers for decades, see character development, etc. And there's always a "next week" and monthly PPVs to draw you in.

I think the reason I’m “obsessed” with wrestling is due to the fact that I’ve loved it since I was a child. When good, the stories can be compelling and the in ring work is top notch. Although it hasn’t been good lately (WWE) the kid inside of me is still hoping/waiting it’ll get back to where it once was. It might never happen but hey wishful thinking right?

Behave. It's the most popular sport in the world for a reason, it's comfortably the best. It's not that popular in America. Everywhere else, yes. I always liked pro wrestling better than real sports, though I think I watched NBA more than wrestling from 93-96. MMA is a close second to wrestling these days. Generally I like wrestling better than mma, but as a company I favor UFC over wwe. |

These days anime is #1 one and wrestling is #2 or maybe even #3. I just don't have the time to keep up with everything these days.
