I remember The Ultimate Warrior releasing a few Jakks/ Mattel Limited Edition figures (1 of 15, etc)- I'm wondering how Warrior managed to get a partnership with Jakks/ mattel, could anyone fill me in on that? I knew he was releasing them online on his website.

It was part of his deal. He wasn’t under a Legends contract so Jakks and Mattel had to sign him to their own deals. He negotiated that they would make him his own limited figures.

It was a part of his sign-on bonus. Some were limited to 5, some were 15, etc.
Warrior was very artistic and took many creative liberties with his figs.

Warrior knew what he was worth. I wonder how much his deal was for the Ringside exclusive shoot interview?

Customs are pretty easy to spot. It would be the bootlegs, or more simply the prototypes stolen from the factory that you would be on the lookout for. That’s 95% of what you would see on eBay. The other 5% would be real ones in the packaging still (usually with a certificate of authenticity from Warrior) or someone who made a custom trying to sell it as the real deal.

In case anyone doesn’t know what we’re talking about, Ultimate Warrior had four of these figures made:
A red white and blue singlet(?) Rather plain black and white trunks with a tattoo or something on the back A completely granite colored figure with lightning bolts His attire in the 2K14 commercial
