I’m with you there....my most wanted figure! Oh yeah, mine too. But I’ve also got a decent AE collection on my shelves too and it’d be nice to add Patterson and Brisco to it. If I can’t find Patterson I won’t even look for Brisco. Of the two it’s Patterson that I am looking forward. But Muraco followed by Valentine are my top two wants of those four releases.

Considering my local Wal-Mart has had nothing but Big Cass and James Ellsworth since January, I fully expect to never see this figure, or any exclusive figure for that matter.

I found Backlund and Wolfe in the wild, but have yet to have seen Dunne or Sherri and have little hope of finding many if any of the future exclusives. It's sad that people who will actually buy those figures aren't able to locate them and buy them. Mattel is losing out on money here.

Whatever the stores do with the figures after they pay Mattel, Mattel doesnt get a dime from it.

I'm hoping now that the heads are made we just get a Basic battle pack of Brisco and Patterson. I'd buy either one of them if I saw them in the wild but I'm not hunting for them and I won't pay eBay prices for them.

Why can’t each store just get a separate case of the exclusives? Like why can’t Mattel do two Elite exclusives per set per store and do a six figure case of each? For example...IF Patterson and Brisco would have been in the same Elite series, they could have been packed in their own case of three each. That way there would be the regular Elite series and a smaller case of just the exclusives.
Tbh They’re hard to find enough as it is without stores not stocking. So they’re limited one per case at separate stores. This really limits everyone!
Can I be a nerd and reference Bill and co to the Star Trek episode of The Toys That Made Us. In the Playmates segment they talked about a limited exclusive Picard or something. Basically it was so limited that hardcore collectors stopped or slowed down buying because of not being able to find it. I’ve actually stopped collecting Monster High, Ninja Turtles and a few other lines because of limited quantities of figures. To collectors, it sours us when we can’t find certain products. Yeah it’s cool to do exclusives but when they’re so scarce it’s just a damper

But the stores will continue to want to buy more from them if the stores can actually sell what they are giving them.

I don't even try to find Wal-Mart exclusives. Wal-Mart hardly stocks figures around here so trying to find a rare one would be a waste of time. Target exclusives on the other hand get stocked a few times during their initial run.

When e68 hits Wal-Mart in full force he won't be that difficult to find. Themed sets like summerslam and wrestlemania are usually over ordered. Agreed but at the Patterson signing he was in a regular elite package not the Summerslam box. Wonder if he will still be packed the same.

I found Backlund 3 times, Wolfe, Sherri, and Dunne only once. I am not confident finding him but I have justified overspending for it just to save gas and aggravation.

I'd settle for just seeing new figures on the shelves before I'm going to start worrying about chase figures.

Whatever the stores do with the figures after they pay Mattel, Mattel doesnt get a dime from it. I’ve heard conflicting theories about this. The theory that aligns with what you said, which makes the most sense and then the theory about companies essentially “consigning” inventory through stores. We saw this when TRU closed, reps went to TRU and retrieved boxes of figures to sell through another outlet.
