The last two years it aired around this time right? Unless they are starting it later, doesn't look like there will be one. Not even any mention of there being one. Kind of surprising isn't it?

I want good women's wrestling and meaningful storylines for the woman wrestlers on the four brands of WWE. That being said, we don't need a tournament like the Mae Young Classic right now. We need meaningful angles going into the second edition of Evolution, which I hope happens this year. Last year it was an all in all great show. I can't imagine not having the best one yet in response to Becky Lynch's rise in popularity and the first ever Women's main event at Wrestlemania.

I really liked the MYC as well. It gave good exposure to a lot of women that would go onto NXT / NXT UK. Hopefully the opt to bring it back somewhere down the line.

I'd like to see one and have Tegan Nox win it. After her last two (awful) years, it'd be a hell of a redemption story. Maybe one of the best ever told.

I honestly hadn't realised, but it will be a real shame to not see it return. I absolutely loved both tournaments, which were both a high point of the year.

I'd rather they work on finding a use for rostered women not named Flair, Rousey, Lynch or Bliss, and women that are not in the first family of wrestling.

I donât know why it has to be a big deal if they donât do it. Not everything has to be yearly. They only did one Cruiserweight Classic. Youâd think fans would be happy MYC made it two years. Iâm sure thereâs plenty of talent out there to make a great tournament again, but you also donât want to overdo it and do it just for the sake of doing it. Women main evented WrestleMania but âso much for the revolutionâ if they donât do the MYC đ

Maybe they do one late this year. I hope so. Someone mentioned the Cruiserweight Classic. That's not necessary because of 205 live.

Let's be honest, between people already in WWE, AEW and Impact being a  ing cockroach, there's barely any recognizable talent out there for WWE to scoop up to use for the tournament as is. I can only come up with about 12 or so non-contracted women they can use, if that. And even some of those are probably under deals that wouldn't let them work a WWE event. |

Bayley, Nikki, Lacey... Bayley is enjoying her first 3-4 months of relevance since her first couple months with Charlotte flair. Nikki has done nothing but win matches for alexa. See above Lacey is a dollar store Flair clone. See above. Ember? Asuka? Kairi? Carmella? The tag champs? They dont handle any of them well. |
