It'll be pretty disappointing if it just ends up being Samoa Job behind the attack. Hopefully it's a good surprise opponent for Roman.

Caught the clip of the end on Facebook. Bischoff is a cliffhanger ending guy. It's how he beat Vince. That said, that felt like a "Roman can't look weak" Vince move to have him walk away. I have zero idea who deserves the blame, other than Vince gets final say on everything, but Roman getting up ruined the entire segment. It was a good idea in concept. Camera angles were excellent, and it was unexpected, but hang Roman under the pile on the audience so we tune-in next week for the fallout. Just cut away from the show while people are trying to dig Roman out and you have a perfect segment imo. Even do the Super Shredder where Roman sticks his hand up out of the pile so you know he's alright under there or whatever.
In terms of the actual attacker, I don't think it's Joe. Joe has been a hit you face-to-face guy this entire feud. He calls out Roman and then fights him. So I guess Occam's Razor would point to Joe but if we're thinking about Bischoff then I think this could be a longer term approach to a story with Roman than just his immediate feud with Joe. If it was Joe then so be it, it makes plenty of sense to "wound" Roman before SummerSlam, but hopefully there is more to it.

People saying it could be Buddy Murphy that tried to kill Reigns. Apparently he can be seen in the background walking away just after it.
I'd be down for that honestly. Even when he loses, at least we'd actually get to see him compete. I'm not interested in another Joe/Reigns rest hold anyway.

I didn’t wanna spoil it, but yea after just reading who people say did it. My mind is completely changed. I’m all down for Buddy Murphy in the main event scene.

Everybody’s shitting on this Reigns segment because he got up and walked away........
THEY LITERALLY SHOWED THAT THE EQUIPMENT DID NOT HIT/LAND ON HIM AS IT FELL.
Like the dude literally reacted to the stuff before it came anywhere near him and they clearly showed multiple times that it didn’t actually land on him. It seemed to me as if WWE didn’t want to insult our intelligence with the segment and everyone’s still pissed about. They did a very similar segment with Brock, Kane and Braun last year but they acted like the guys got crushed by the thing and it was lame as hell.
This was much better. If you ask me it came off like a failed trap/attack which could be very interesting if done correctly.
