Apologies in advance if this isn't the right place to post this, but I'm on a bit of a hunt and could use some help. Pro Wrestling Illustrated had issues that featured full page caricatures of wrestlers drawn by their resident cartoonist Mister J. I had and loved two of the issues many moons ago and have been wanting to reacquire them. Unfortunately for me, I only have vague memories of the covers and can't find any pictures from inside the magazines online. I think that the issues I'm looking for could be the Wrestling Annuals from 1997 and 1998. Can anyone confirm this or enlighten me on which issues I am looking for? 1 million cool points to anyone that can help me on my hunt. Thanks!!!

The only time I can remember PWI having a cartoon drawing on it was from like 1991 when they had Hulk Hogan on the cover.

They were once a year issues with 30 full page caricatures. I have no idea how many years they did this. The wikipedia of the artist says he started working for them in 1995 doing comic strips. I may just bite the bullet and buy an issue I think is right and hope for the best. |

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered a copy of the 1998 PWI Annual. I'll find out in about a week if I was right or if I just blew $20. Tune in next time for another riveting episode of A Guy Looking For Wrassle Cartoons.

My magazine arrived... it was not what I was looking for. However, it did show pictures in an ad of the magazines I was searching for. Inside Wrestling's Wrestling Yearbook from 1996, 1997, and 1998. Mystery solved and it was fun tracking down my memories. I just ordered the magazines on ebay. If anyone is interested, I could post pictures of the caricatures when I get the magazines in the mail.

What you're looking for isn't PWI it's Inside Wrestling Yearbook 96 and 97

I remember the cartoons in PWI. I think they had one magazine full of cartoons. It may have been dedicated to WrestleMania. The one I remember the most was a full page cartoon of Andre in the ring cart at wrestlemania VI.
