Yesterday, it just occurred to me that, even after 8 years of collecting Mattel WWE figures, I STILL don't have a decent, in-scale ring to put my figures in it. That being said, I looked up on RSC and Evilbay and, man, the prices for the Wicked Cool toys have gone quite a being. This all brings me to a few of my questions:
1) Will Wicked Toys reissue their ring anytime soon? (if not, I'll probably end up coughing up the money for one)
2) Will the ring mats from RSC fit the mattel rings (the ones with Goldberg and Jinder)? I think they PROBABLY won't, but anyway

Pretty sure WTC is done with that ring. There was a MITB playset prototype that got cancelled and they haven’t made anything new in years so I think it’s dead in the water.

No. The Mattel rings are 20x20, while the Wicked ones are 22x22.

Wait......
The ring aprons & accessories sold by Ringside don't fit the real scale Mattel rings?
Bummer, I never opened my Mattel Real Scale Ring (with Goldberg) but had bought some WCW Nitro accessories, thinking they would fit it when I eventually set it up...... I had no idea that stuff was created for the Wicked Cool line...... can someone confirm?

The Mattel ring w Goldberg is totally different and there are no interchangeable parts made for it yet

I guess my question is - how can they both be "real scale" rings if they're completely different sizes? LOL.... shouldn't they be at least pretty similar?

well the original was an "Elite" scale ring and then it's predecessor was an "Authentic" scale ring, so technically Mattel isn't false advertising when they introduced the "Main Event" ring with different dimensions. I think "Real" scale ring is a Jakks thing.

there is
Mattel Elite Scale Ring
Wicked Cool Toys Authentic Scale Ring (which is just a rerelease of the Mattel Elite Scale Ring)
Mattel Main Event Ring
All the ring accessories were made for the Elite & Authentic Scale rings
Elite Scale Ring is good but too big. Main Event Ring is right size but the ropes are too low

I actually was about to start a thread looking for the Classic and modern cage and was willing to rebuy the rings it come with. Damn I really need both set of cages.

Jakks real scale ring. Best ring ever made.
Plenty of accessories, still cheap to get brand new from a certain superstore of wrestling.

While not perfect, the WCT ring is about as close as I think we'll ever get. With all of the interchangeable parts and the RSC accessories that came out, there's an insane amount of flexibility for collectors of almost any era. It's a shame that it's dead.
From Bill's comments at SDCC, it sounds like the Main Event rings were a flop. Not surprising since they couldn't get it in stores and Amazon had it heavily discounted within a few months of release.

I'd wait a few weeks before you decide.
