Just thought I’d post these two quotes from Chris Jericho in regards to WWE and AEW
Chris Jericho May of 2019:
“This is a war,” declared Jericho in an interview with TV insider. “Even if you don’t want it to be, it just is. There hasn’t been any competition for WWE on a national basis for 20 years or more.”
Chris Jericho today:
“by adding another two hours, that really dilutes their product. It dilutes their mindset. It dilutes their focus. It’s a reactionary move. It’s done by a guy who wants to start a war when we don’t care if you want to start a war. That was never our intention. There’s no war for us. We’re just doing what we’re doing. Some people don’t like that and they’re reacting to it. And it just dilutes their own product.”

I dont know about diluting their product, its a different roster from Raw and Smackdown.

Chris Jericho has become a delusional drunk over the last few years, he tries to be innovative but even his podcast now has just become a cheap imitation of Gallows and Anderson’s Talk’n Shop. The guy is literally trying anything to be relevant now 😴

Eh, can we take anything Jericho says anymore? I love how on Twitter he says NXT is on USA Network, you're welcome, then Regal just owns him in the most gentlemen way. Well, i doubt WWE would have gone this route with having NXT compete with AEW if they woulda just kept their f***ing mouths shut about WWE and focused on growing their company. AEW and their cult members, how i like calling a few of their fans, put the narrative from day 1 that they're the WWE killers, they're going to war, etc, then WWE does something as a business and answers their challenge of competing, and WWEs still the a**holes. All they had to do was pretend that WWE doesn't exist. Hopefully they change the narrative by focusing on having fans watch because their product is good, and not cause WWE sucks. Their constant throwing shade at WWE is gonna cause their downfall at growing as anything more than just another TNA.

Like, the top priority for AEW should be demonstrating that they can provide a competent product on a consistent basis. And more importantly, proving to potential sponsors that there is a sizeable, sustainable appetite for their brand, as no company can be considered a true success if the bill is constantly being floated by stakeholders. So these comments aren't really helpful to AEW, just red meat for the diehards.
But saying that doesn't heap all the blame on AEW talent. WWE likely would have done all these moves regardless of others' actions, just because the TV deal is the biggest threat the 'E has had in years. And as I've stated before, being a billion dollar corporation with global reach and 50+ years of history should really be enough for someone not entirely consumed by greed, paranoia, and vindictiveness.

Theres going to be a lot of back tracking coming from AEW about "wars" because they know they're gonna be lucky if they pull a million views on their weekly show. It's not hating, I'll watch AEW but its realistic.
