Just a collection of random thoughts here.
So was listening to my iPod and Black Sabbath’s excellent Iron Man came on. Made me think of the Road Warriors and I went straight to YouTube to watch them coming down to the ring to the song.
My mind wandered and made me think of Bruiser Brody. I’ve never really watched much of his matches (the only one I could remember seeing was the cage match with Luger) but remember reading in a wrestling mag about him. The bit that always sticks in my head was him being described as as coming down to the ring swinging a chain over his head, while the crowd scattered, with Led Zepplin’s immigrant song blasting through the PA system. I’ve tried at various times to find footage of this but to no avail. However, the description of it alone impressed me and makes me think how great (and scary) it would have been to have been in the crowd while it was going on.
Whilst on YouTube I had to search for Rick Rude coming down to Smooth Operator. Such a fitting song.
The above three makes me think how the right entrance music can really enhance the wrestler that it is associated with. There is probably a ton of similar examples, but none spring to mind.
Do you guys have any particular favourites of a wrestler using a “real” song as their entrance? (I say real rather than something produced in house - although there has been some crackers made)
Also, is there any songs you’d have loved to have seen a wrestler use?

Entrance music is great. Nothing grinds my gears like a wrestler using a licensed song. I prefer songs written for the wrestler.
For example, I prefer Rude's Simply Ravishing WCW theme. It's one of my all-time favorites.
Nothing gives me goosebumps like the opening guitar squeal to Bret's theme. It's my glass shattering.

"Enter Sandman"-The Sandman
It was also funny when WCW wrestlers had entrance music that ripped off real songs, most notably Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc.

Anytime I think of real themes, ECW always comes to mind.Sandman with Enter Sandman, Dreamer with Man in the box, Dudleyz with Highway to hell early on in their run,Douglas with Perfect Strangers etc. All great songs that fit their characters perfectly.
Derringer's Demolition is great. Randy Savage with Pomp and Circumstance is another one. I liked the WWF and the remix WCW used in the mid 90s.
But my favorite?.....
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Even though the company was in the dumps, I've always thought that the themes Jim Johnston produced from 1995-1996 were some of the best ever.
Goldust Stone Cold Mankind Diesel Sid
These all just did a great job of capturing the character so well.

Hogan used to have Eye of the Tiger as his theme in AWA, it really fits him.
Didn’t Cactus Jack used Back In Black in ECW?

Apparently Austin's theme (the one we all know by Jim Johnston) was inspired by Bulls on Parade by Rage Against the Machine. If you think purely about the opening guitar riff, it's not a million miles away in tone.

To answer the OP Midnight Express had a cool theme that was real music.
For Whom The Bell Tolls would have been nice for Undertaker.

I might be mistaken but I thought Brody only used a knock off of Zeppelin in Japan. Can anyone confirm if he used it outside of Japan?

Brody used an instrumental version of The Immigrant Song when he was in All Japan Pro Wrestling. It sounds bad-ass! To my knowledge, he never used it outside of Japan, and he didn't have theme music anywhere else.
