If it's something people want to talk about, why can't they bump it?
Should we create a new thread and potentially duplicate content?
This rule seems absurd

it's a staple of the old forum mindset, it's a simple spell; but quite unbreakable

I say if the topic is six months old and on the second page, I don't see why it can't be talked about. But the ones on here who have the power to control each section take this very seriously. For it's all they have in life. They can control what is said and what threads are posted on this forum.

It’s a choice on the mod. When Joker was mod he didn’t care if threads where bumped as long as something was added to discussion.

its really a double edged sword. you can't bump a topic that hasn't been talked about in a while, but its also frowned upon to make a new topic about something previously discussed

Feudal Forum Era rules
I think we should be able to as long as your clearly contribute to that discussion and open it back up for debate.

If "they" don't like it, then "they" should purge the board every month and start all over again. Seems silly but power trips are fun for some.

Because if it was still worth talking about it wouldn’t have died down and dropped off the first page. So if the OP didn’t feel the need to add something constructive to it then it doesn’t get bumped.
If it something relevant that hasn’t been talked about in a while by all means make a new post, but what was locked from being bumped? An almost two month old post about a TV show that hadn’t been talked about since July? There was no reason for that to be bumped. We don’t even know if there will be another season.
