just watched it last night. sad, brutal, and hard to go back through it. I grew up more on wcw than wwf, and in grade school was buying tapes of benoit’s work in Japan as Pegasus Kid.
the whole thing is still too much to digest.

Looks like both parts of the Benoit story airs tonight followed by a half hour show where Chavo, Dreamer and Kissel discuss Chris’s life.

just watched it last night. sad, brutal, and hard to go back through it. the whole thing is still too much to digest. This was my reaction. That was a tough video to get through. The narrative of Eddie's death affecting him seriously makes me want to re-evaluate my feelings towards him. I will force myself to watch the second half before I do. Dammit.

Are they showing the second part tonight? Because on my cable guide it says “Part One”. Thinking it’s just a mess up. Any insight would help.

Great episode, but so hard to watch knowing how much both Eddie and Chris meant to me as a kid.
We as fans often struggle on how to view Benoit in light of everything, but seeing his friends and family struggle with this is on a whole other level.
I feel terrible for David and you could tell how much during his interviews how much he loves his father but also struggles with what happened.

Just finished Part Two and it was just as great as episode one. Very eye opening. David is really struggling and I feel bad for what he has gone through. I hope his career is super successful and he is able to carve his own path. Season Two is off to a great start so far.

I've said this before about David Benoit, but I will say it again.... he is just a big kid that needs love. I feel so bad for him. It doesn't matter how old he gets, he's always gonna be the 13 or 14 year old boy that lost his dad, brother and step-mom. When he and his aunt hugged, thanks to Chris Jericho.... just I was so happy for the both of them. And when David was crying and Chavo was there to comfort him.... goosebumps.
As for the Chris Benoit situation. After watching these two episodes, I can probably go back and watch Chris Benoit matches a bit easier now than I could yesterday even. I get now that the Chris Benoit who did what he did wasn't mentally healthy, and wasn't the man that he was. Not saying what he did was right, it wasn't, but I just know now I can watch his old matches and not be so judgmental anymore, knowing now that his brain was as bad as it was.

He is in his late 20s now and not many companies would touch him with a 10 foot pole. He looks just like his father and would probably have to wrestle under a mask as Pegasus Kid II or something.

I watched them last, and and yeah that was tough to get through. It was well did I would say, but just a tragic story.

Too much of a fluff piece for me. Jericho and Vicki came off rehearsed.

Man.......watched it last night and so many different emotions throughout the whole documentary. Seeing Chavo talk about Eddie and David Benoit breaking down multiple times was tough. It almost felt like the closest thing to closure on a tragedy that will never have closure.

The footage I saw was a bit choppy & poorly edited in some spots. So was Jericho responsible for getting David Benoit & Sandra Toffoloni back together? If so, good on him.

That's what it sounded like, Jericho gave David and Sandra each others phone numbers and Sandra ended up calling David - that's how they got back into contact with each other.

Jericho saying Benoit loved the business, and that he knew the man who committed the crimes wasn’t the same guy he knew because that weekend almost killed the business. This line sticks out to me on the horrors of brain dams ge. That even the slightest brain damage can change someone forever.
What was chilling to me was Chavo saying Johnny Ace was upset he didn’t mention the texts he got from Benoit until the next day. If Chavo mentioned them right away and the wellness check happened that night, would police have caught Chris before he killed himself? What if Chris showed up to the Night of Champions PPV and won the ECW Title as scheduled? To me these make this event all the more chilling.

Truly powerful and emotional episode for Benoit. One of the hardest things i've ever watched... Definitely one of the best Wrestling docs ever made.
Also wen't back a re-watched the Von Erich episode, forgot how tragic that was. Heartbreaking knowing how all of them died, the last interaction between Fritz & Kevin, and that fact that Kevin had to see all of it happen before remaining as the last one. Though a sad story, it's uplifting knowing that after all this, he's found peace and is living a happy life.
