No way Hunter Hearst Helmsley should make anyone's Rushmore LOL. The guy absolutely gained fame based on clinging to someone more popular (Michaels) or with power (Stephanie). If not for "who you know" he would be running whatever became of Killer Kowalski's promotion which isn't really a bad thing considering he does seem to love wrestling but I would put a Virgil or Berzeker as more talented and entertaining than him any day. im kinda blown away by the HHH love to begin with. he's so bland and boring to me. but yea to have him over icons like hulk, rock, austin, andre, bruno, savage, flair, sting, etc is comical and screams its just "my fav wrestler" more than anything. but to each his own. A lot of people say HHH's character was supposed to be a "better" version of The Franchise. Shane Douglas blows HHH out of the water when it comes to promos.

Birth - Bruno (face of the company at the beginning) Growth - Hogan (face of the company when they went from regional to global) Development - Triple H (DX, Evolution, NXT) Mick Foley Preservation - Bret Hart (kept the company alive at its lowest point) Changing my development to Foley. Not only did he develop 3 unique characters that got over he was instrumental in getting so many guys to the next level. Undertaker was a cartoon character sideshow attraction prior to feuding with Mankind. Foley showed he was more than a wrestling zombie and was capable of being a headliner. Rock and Triple H both took that step from midcarder to main eventer through Mick. As commissioner he was able to elevate Angle, Edge, and Christian. Edge again at WM22. He legitimized Orton as the legend killer.

He legitimized Orton as the legend killer. I agree with this, I was not a huge fan of the Undertaker prior to this period, I felt he was predictable and boring. But when he started working with Mick, he seemed to step up his game a lot and he became more than a one-dimensional character. I also thought the WWF putting him with guys like Bret, Shawn, Mick, Austin, Rock, HHH, Edge, Batista, etc., it really showed how talented he was - in ring wise - it kind of seemed like they wasted his first few years of his WWF career on the gimmick and always putting him with guys who weren't great workers (Gonzalez, Bundy, Kama, Underfaker, Adam Bomb, Berzerker, Mabel, etc.) Other than working with Warrior, Sid, and Jake at the beginning of his WWF run, the only feud of his I really liked was the one with Yoko. I also agree with you on the Preservation, Bret was one of the few reasons I continued to watch the WWF at that time (mid 90s), I wonder if the WWF would have survived had Bret not been there. They really only had about 10 watchable guys at this time.

HHH, i didnt know you had an acct on here. Loved you in DX the most Now think about this for a second. Vince Sr. started this. Vince Jr. grew it into a Global entity. Triple H is developing tomorrow's Stars. Shane and Steph are preserving the family business. You don't have to agree with facts for it to be true.

Birth - Vincent James McMahon Growth - Vincent Kennedy McMahon Development - Paul Michael Levesque Preservation - Shane Brandon McMahon and Stephanie Marie McMahon Levesque You lost me at Shane. I despise everything about him. Other than the one match with Angle thereβs been nothing heβs ever done that I found the least bit entertaining.

Not even a fan of young, non wrestling silver spoon Shane? When he was running in the posse and feuding with X-Pac I thought he was very well suited for the role. When he's stealing a spot at Mania with a good wrestler who deserves better on the other hand...

The Mt Rushmore of wrestling is so subjective but any lineup that doesn't include both Hogan & Austin is just wrong.
Ill be keeping it to "in ring" competitors so based on the criteria given by the OP?
for me its
Birth? Bruno Sammartino: Where it all began. Bruno built the house Vince would inherit & grow into a Castle.
Growth? Hulk Hogan: There is no other answer. The guy Vince picked to spearhead his national expansion.
Development? Steve Austin: When Vince was in big trouble & getting caned by WCW, Austin was the guy he turned to lead his fightback and change his approach to wrestling.
Preservation? The Undertaker: Active full time from 1990 to 2010 on the top in the big league through incredible highs and insufferable lows. He HAS TO BE preservation.
