Is it Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby The Weasel Brain Heenan? Or is it Jim Ross and Jerry The King Lawler?
Both voiced childhoods and have called the best matches and infamous moments in WWE’s history, rather it be HBK superkicking Jannetty (then the latter diving threw the window) or Mankind thrown off the cell. Who will you chose?

Gorilla and The Weasel. Nothing will ever top that for me.

I just watched the panel with JR and The King from Starrcast II, and they both said that whoever the audience grows up with and is familiar with, that will be their favourite commentators of all time.
I kid you not, kids who are 7, 8, 9 or 10 years old, will says years from now, that Michael Cole and Corey Graves were the best commentators they ever heard. Because that's what they know.

I preferred JR and Heyman to JR and Lawler, honestly.

Is this a serious question? By a mile it's clearly Gorilla and Heenan.
JR was mostly heel when Lawler was good. If Lawler hadn't gone full puppies by the time they were a duo, it'd be closer. JR and Lawler didn't have the playfulness of Gorilla and Heenan. When they disagreed, JR often got fired up and Lawler would look like a troll. It came off as almost a shoot or off script and I don't like that much. Much like Graves or heel Cole, but they're worse at it.
I guess it's personal preference but I view JR and King as almost a one man booth with JR carrying it.
Ventura might be the technically best play by play man but as a heel he was too good. Almost infallible. His reasoning and points were too rock solid. I like my heel commentators getting comeuppance sometimes.

Lawler's best heel commentary in WWE was before it was just him and Ross, or so my memory goes. By the time it was just babyface Ross and heel Lawler, King was in full puppies mode. I should say heel or not a fixture for Ross. Either way, I feel like JR had just missed out on good heel Lawler.

Definitely Gorilla and Bobby.JR/King were great together don't get me wrong but they cant match those two.
Gorilla/Bobby and Gorilla/Jesse are the pinnacle teams of wrestling commentary in my book.

There were times however where Ventura would be so bang-on that he may as well had been a play by play guy.

The two best heel announcers ever right here...
They were never bland. Always entertaining and always staying true to that heel role. True pros at what they did.

This is a tough one, I liked them both but I will have to go with Brain and Monsoon. Though, I think Jesse and Monsoon were just as good.

All 4 were fantastic but Gorilla & Brain were so much better. They had a natural chemistry where they would feed off each other. JR & King were great but it never felt like a natural flow to me. If felt like they had to set up & feed each other lines/lead ins to get that witty remark. It was still great but too manufactured IMO
