I am glad that they finally put out a figure where we can finish the match, it really doesn’t happen as often as I would like tbh, hopefully WM23 HBK is next.........

I guess they figured that since the straps on his boots were also white, there was no point in painting them...Pretty lazy.

Oh goddammit the boots aren’t right!!! There's a number of boots they don't get right. Dolph Ziggler has needed new boots since after E24. I'm surprised they didn't go the Jakks route like they did with E14 and use Batista/Lesnar/Swagger's boots.

One with Hogan and Liz holding the WHC and he’s pointing to it.

I’m actually really glad to finally be getting a non king RA Era Booker in Elite form. Although I can’t help but think this would have been perfect to have a chase with black tights and boots.

I’ll do you one better I’ll do 2 matches one where it’s like reality (terrible squash) then an alternate reality similar to 2K games and have Booker T rightfully win and go on to win the world title at backlash against Brock lol

A 2001 Booker in black trunks with alt. heads (short hair and short braids) would be nice.
I also hope we get another Stevie Ray Eltie (in nWo attire). A Harlem Heat in purple battle pack would be cool too.

Really hoping we get a BATB 2000 Booker at some point. That will always be the look for Booker that resonates with me (before the WWE made him a joke for years). I started watching wrestling in ‘94 as a 4 year old and grew up watching Booker work his way up the ladder for the next 7 years.

One of the things I hate most about WWE's re-telling of WCW is how completely overlooked guys like Steiner, DDP, and Booker are. Booker was one of the top tag team workers, got himself over as a singles, and got pretty strong reactions as champ. And then WCW limited his moveset and made him into a comedy gimmick for the next decade-plus. DDP would be totally overlooked if not for DDP yoga despite arguably getting more mainstream coverage than WWE did, and Steiner should have been in the main event since the early 90's and is one of the most innovative big men ever, but has basically been scrubbed from history or is the butt of Steiner Math jokes.

Not to take away all of their accomplishments in the undercard during the height of WCW but those 3 never got their opportunities in the main event until the dying days of WCW when no one was watching. Booker I think gets his acknowledgements. He is a 2 time HOFer after all. Only 2 other people can say that.

He began fighting for the world title in late ‘98 and won it in early ‘99 (and contrary to WWE rewriting history, WCW attendance and ratings didn’t free fall until the summer/not immediately following the FPOD). He got mainstream coverage as well after teaming with Karl Malone and Jay Leno in ‘98. I’ve been binge watching 1998 WCW (my posts are in the classics thread), and it’s a shame that Booker and Steiner didn’t get elevated to the main event in 1999. They were both over big with the crowds and were killing it in the US and TV Title divisions.
