WWE Friday Night SmackDown preview, Oct. 4, 2019: Roman Reigns to battle Erick Rowan when SmackDown premieres on FOX
In the wake of the announcement that Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns will battle Erick Rowan & Luke Harper at WWE Hell in a Cell, Sports Illustrated reported via Twitter that The Big Dog will go one-on-one with Rowan when Friday Night SmackDown debuts on FOX next Friday at 8/7 C.
Erick Rowan & Luke Harper have caused mass destruction on the blue brand since reuniting. But who will prevail when Reigns once again squares off against the Superstar responsible for his backstage attack tow months ago? And what role will Harper & Bryan ultimately play in the mix?
Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon to put careers on the line in Ladder Match
Kevin Owens hasn’t been able to escape the ire of Shane McMahon during his SmackDown tenure, and it’s continuously put his WWE career in jeopardy.
As a last resort, Owens threatened Shane-O-Mac with a massive lawsuit and set out to hit him where it hurts most: the wallet. Presented with the possibility of an ongoing court battle, KO offered McMahon an alternative settlement for their dispute.
The rivals agreed to put their careers on the line in a Ladder Match on the FOX Friday Night SmackDown premiere with the loser fired from WWE.
Will Owens get the chance to hand “The Best in the World” his walking papers, or will McMahon get rid of his most insubordinate employee once and for all?
Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair to battle Sasha Banks & Bayley on Fox premiere
The Four Horsewomen have transformed the WWE’s Women’s Division and now are determined to define it for a generation.
On the historic FOX premiere of Friday Night SmackDown, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair will team up in an attempt to end the ongoing attacks from Sasha Banks and Bayley. The showdown will be arematch of last month’s match that saw The Queen land a Natural Selection on the SmackDown Women’s Champion to claim the victory just prior to WWE Clash of Champions.
Women’s Division supremacy will be on the line Oct. 4 when Friday Night SmackDown debuts on FOX at 8/7 C.
*ALSO*
On Friday, Oct. 4, FOX Sports rolls out the “blue carpet” at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles for the long-awaited premiere of Friday Night SmackDown. The event begins with the Friday Night SmackDown Kickoff Show at 7:30/6:30 C with star-studded arrivals, backstage access to celebrities and athletes, as well as past and present Superstars kicking off the new era of WWE on FOX.

I’m just excited for a new stage, pyro, new format, and opening intro. I could care less what actually happens on the show lol
The one thing I do want however, is for Kofi to lose the title

Even though Smackdown has moved to Fox, will it continue to be put on Hulu?

Even though Smackdown has moved to Fox, will it continue to be put on Hulu? Probably, Brooklyn Nine Nine remained on Hulu when it switched to NBC

This is gonna be one for the ages. Takes me back to the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression days!
Only problem is in those days we’d get special shows nearly every week without relying on the legends too much... either way all wrestling fans should defo check out either RAW/SD/AEW/NXT next week 100%.

I read that it’ll be Brock vs Kofi for the title. So we’ll have a new champion, then.

Only 1 title match?? Poor. Raw has 3 and NXT has 4...
But seriously, 8 title matches on free TV next week? That's all in the same week as Hell in a Cell as well 🤯

That's all in the same week as Hell in a Cell as well 🤯 Just to remind ya, that is 100% a coincidence. No external reasons as to why this is occurring. Zero. Zip. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. Not a darn thing...

Here is a look at last Friday's schedule and ratings. Next week NBC will begin to air the new season of The Blacklist at 8pm. It will be interesting to see where they end up. I just hope it's a good show.

They may not have had a choice because of his schedule, but I wouldn't have had the Rock on the show with all the other legends. A returning Rock by himself is enough to hype a show. Next week would have been better if possible.

But The Rock is on his show...the show he helped create but with Rock on this show who should he interact with?

So weird that there’s no Smackdown tonight I can fill the gap with Impact being on AXS now, but SD was usually the sacrifice for doing other stuff. Raws are probably gonna have to take that role with Tuesdays and Wednesdays being live wrestling nights now.

So weird that there’s no Smackdown tonight I actually think I'm going to like the break. Sometimes RAW was such a chore to get through, I didn't even feel like watching Smackdown. Monday, Wednesday, Friday is ideal for me. I'll DVR Impact and FF to the Knockouts, just like I did years ago.

I am surprised about everyone wants Brock to win. You do realize Roman is the only one that will beat him for it.

The reign should have ended immediately after. Lesnar is scheduled to be around almost every week and at all the PPV's for the upcoming season so if he'll be here, why the hell not, anything is better than Kofi

Dat Dude on FOX Thursday Night Football, plugging Mattel and presenting hosts with custom figures of themselves. I am surprised about everyone wants Brock to win. You do realize Roman is the only one that will beat him for it. I've never said that Crooked Kofi should lose to Brock...
