I wonder if they have reached out to Owen’s widow to get the rights to make a figure?
...or they wouldn’t be able to? WWE owns the rights and they just choose not to make him out of respect for his widow?

WWE owns the rights and they just choose not to make him out of respect for his widow? WWE doesn't own any figure rights to Owen, and if they did they wouldn't let "respect for his widow" stop them given that they put out an Owen DVD that she publicly said she wanted nothing to do with. His widow has turned down basically every offer to make merch of Owen save for the Legends of Wrestling games. She'd probably turn this down too.

Mattel you done screwed up by not signing wrestlers anymore to their own figure deals.
Look like you have your version of "AEW" competition

Her husband died, no amount of money is going to change it. She couldn't give any less of a about how badly people want him in Video Games, a toy, or whatever else.

That was pretty much only because Acclaim fought to keep Owen in Attitude and did the tribute for him at the start of the game, so when they approached her she was receptive to letting them use Owen because it was them. Legitimately don't think she'd have done that for anyone but Acclaim.

And I gave you the reason he was in Legenda of Wrestling in the quoted post. Martha did the favor for Acclaim because of how far they went for Owen in Attitude.

I would say more so WWE being apart of Owen’s legacy in public. Because she had no issue with him being inducted into the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame last year. She also has no problems continuing accepting royalty checks from WWE on Owen’s behalf. According to the Hart family she alienated the entire Hart family, with a big reason being their continued work with the WWE. She didn’t even attend Stu’a funeral.

From what other's have said (Bret, mainly) she doesn't seem to have anything against wrestling she just doesn't want the WWE profiting off of Owen's legacy. I believe she tried to fight the release of the Owen Hart DVD and the Hart Family DVD but had no luck since the WWE owns those tapes, she got involved to limit what was used in their releases.

looks like storms finally doing something wrestling-wise with all that hogan repaint money lol well i bought em all anyway..... hopefully this means more wrestling figures in the future.
and ive got a bunch of storm mortal kombat and street fighter figures they all use the same skeleton with soft plastic around it but the hollywood hogan floating crotch was the laziest/worst design of anything theyve ever done or done anywhere by a modern action figure company. it flat out sucks. so fingers crossed it's fixed on liger and anything going forward

$59.99 according to Major WF Pod. Fair price for an import. Now I really wish it's in scale to Hogan, though.
