I have to ask if and all at this point, would a heel turn even save Rollins' character going forward? I mean here you have the fans already turning on Seth Rollins in almost every match that he is in but also the fact that the WWE goes out of their way to protect Rollins at every turn, it makes me wonder if by turning heel Seth can actually be salvaged?

Seth's character is fine. It's the fans who have the issues. This is the complaining era. All fans do is complain. They aren't patient enough to wait for the bigger out come, yet get annoyed when the WWE pushes something fast. Irony at its best!

In all honesty though, I do agree that a lot of people seem to complain about everything nowadays and it's not just limited to wrestling. That being said, the finish last night was awful. I don't think Seth needs a character change but I'm all for bringing back the cackle.

Expecting everyone to turn heel is unrealistic. It’s probably gonna be easier to just accept that you’re never gonna like the top WWE babyfaces.

It doesn't really matter. When you become the top guy, the more matches you win to satisfy the fans, the more they start turning on you. I love The Fiend, but the same will happen to him if he did win the title and racked up victories looking invulnerable-or even if he started showing some cracks in the armor with each match more and more like last night. Its just the natural order.

I thought they were going for a double turn at points last night, then I thought a face Fiend with the whole split personality thing makes absolutely no sense at all.
Last night almost took Seth to the point beyond repair. I think he needs to be written off TV for a bit, but have The Fiend kill him tonight in a rematch. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

What makes Rollins so expendable that wasn't applicable to Cena or Reigns? Lack of popularity amongst da Lil' Jimmies? I've read explanations where this match was the embodiment of Seth's obsession with the championship and the depths to which he's willing to go. But where is that supposed to leave him, showing he's beneath the likes of Cena, Roman, and Hogan in terms of morality and inner strength?
Everything about Seth's run has been lackluster creatively and yielded zero reasons to care about him. Then position his fragile support against the flavor of the month (not meaning to belittle the Fiend here) and have a wildly unpopular finish in an effort to "protect" both men and unbook yourselves out of the corner? A outcome such as that was NEVER gonna win people over and cause massive backlash applied to Rollins. A retconned double turn does nothing for either gimmick of Wyatt's. The Fiend draws nourishment from fear, not adoration. And the Blue's Clues Wyatt has yet appear on live TV, so live reactions don't affect him. Are we even sure that version "exists" in the real world, and not just a projection of Bray's psyche otherwise trapped inside Wyatt's mind by the Fiend persona?
Anyway, I suppose a heelish Rollins could could have given his character back an edge he lacks now. But that undercuts the journey he's had thus far. Beating Lesnar twice (even if the Summerslam build was pretty much a do over of their Mania build) shouldn't have to be thrown out because everything else has been bungled by poor management and booking.
The best way out I can book would be to tease Seth's full turn in a program with Reigns, to put to use the negative reactions of Rollins and the positive ones for Roman, then a double turn with Reigns being backed by an authority figure. Similar to '16 I know, but that's what I'd pitch.

it's...the booking, guys. that's why ALL characters fall flat.

I dont understand the concept of liking/disliking someone based on their booking.
I liked seth Rollins in the shield, I liked him as a slimy heel champion, I like him as a face.
People just need to like what they like and quit focusing on how they are booked.

It doesn’t matter who is the champion the WWE gives the fans who they begged for as as soon as that wrestler is given the title or a push the fans turn on them for the new wrestler of the month. I have said it many times now today’s fans are never happy unless they are complaining.

I remember February 2018 everybody was going nuts for Seth when he did that hour in the gauntlet match,,...seems like the fans turn on every baby face champ after they get the title.

For the most part, I've adopted a blind eye towards stories. So long as my favorites are putting on entertaining matches, getting paid, and featured, they could do a Adam Cole is Michael Cole's bay bay angle and I'd be fine.

It’s really hard to be a top babyface in 2019 when everyone finds something to bitch about

I'm afraid this will be like Cena and Roman? We can boo them all we want, but wwe will be stubborn to do anything to change. I'm surprised it got to this point with Rollins though.

I got it!! I know how to fix everything...
1) Everyone turns heel. If you're already a heel, we will determine is it's "go away heat" or not based off what we want.
2) No one EVER loses. 60 minute draws for every match. 5 Stars or it's not worth it. That should help build moral amongst fans and talent.
3) Everyone has to grow a beard. If they already have one, grow it longer.
4) Everyone must swear at least 3 times per minute. If you don't want to swear then **** ***.
5) Every wrestler has to be anti-establishment. They must tweet that they hate the company they work for whether they do or not.
Find a flaw in it... you can't.

No wrestler today has a loyal fanbase. If anyone else was in Rollin's spot they would be receiving the exact same reaction. Fans get behind someone and once they reach success they suddenly become boring and their fanbase move on to the next person.
Take The Road to Wrestlemania for example. Becky, Rollins and Kofi were the hottest in the company and had total fan support, flash forward to now you will find that their popularity has fallen. Even AJ Styles isn't as over as he was a year ago.

The only wrestlers fans want to cheer for now are the talent they think the company doesn't care about. When Bryan wasn't used, boo hiss, we want him as champ. When he won the title, boo hiss, it should be Roman. When Roman was pushed, boo hiss, it should be Seth. When Seth gets pushed, boo hiss, it should be Kofi. When Kofi gets pushed, boo hiss, move onto the next. But as soon as Kofi gets squashed, boo hiss he deserves more.
Fans are so determined to crap on everything WWE, that they don't take time to appreciate anything.
