Guys, everything is going to be delayed ... ya know, it's an INTERNATIONAL PANDEMIC lol. And Super 7, as much as I love them, aren't exactly known for things coming out right on time to begin with.
No need to panic. These are still gonna rule.

Hey guys!! I know it's been awhile, but I hope this finds you all well! The last couple months have been me planning my wedding and lots of work. Unfortunately, it looks like my fiancee and I have to put our wedding on hold due to everything going on with Coronavirus, so we're disappointed, but trying to make the best of the situation. The nice thing, at least right now, is I have a little time to talk to all of you! I've been working really closely with the design team on Waves 2 & 3, especially since my Super7 store here in San Diego has been closed. My time at home has been pretty much nothing but Super7 and wrestling figures haha! First off, I have to tell you guys thank you for being so patient regarding everything with us and production. Things are still on track with Wave 1 as far as production goes. So, barring anything else as far as Covid goes, we should still see these late summer/early fall. Obviously, we're living in a very different world now, so this is all subject to change. We're at the mercy of all of this as well, but we're still working on making things go as best we can. Secondly, I got to see the paint masters for Wave 1 last week and theyre incredible. The amount of fine detail that went into this is staggering. I think these are some of the best figures we've done, in my opinion. Anything that was missing in the promo pics we did (Ishii's wrist tape for example) have been addressed, so dont worry! You guys will be super happy when you get them in hand. Thirdly, stay tuned to Super7.com and our social media channels.... Please be safe - drink your water and wear your masks! Be kind to each other and be patient!

Thanks for the update, hopefully these will arrive on schedule. Stay safe and hopefully you’re able to have your wedding sooner rather than later.

Thanks for checking in, TJ! Really sorry to hear about your wedding being delayed. Just imagine how much fun it will be for you, your fiance, family, and friends when we're finally able to all get together. Thanks for the figure update, too. I'm excited to see everything in due time! Stay well and keep on planning your wedding. It'll happen eventually!!

Do you have an estimate of when we’ll be able to see MOC pics?

I would love to have Dynamite Kid and Tiger Mask 1 figures made Given that the line is going to probably remain current New Japan only, Dynamite Kid is deceased and Satoru Sayama has had nothing to do with New Japan in like two decades...I don't see that happening. I think it will depend how successful the line is. Wrestling figure producers eventually always produce a “legends” line. Aside from Inoki, who are bigger NJPW legends than Tiger Mask and Dynamite Kid??

But the point remains they'd have to license all of those guys and you're not going to get New Japan to sign off on something with Inoki.

In the west legends wise it’s dynamite kid, Tiger Mask and then Inoki. In that order. And none of those guys have anything to do with New Japan now, one of them is deceased, one would require the getting rights from the anime company and Sayama and the other is a guy New Japan isn't gonna let you make and he'd probably want a fortune. Chono/Muto/Hashimoto are more plausible and even then, probably not going to happen.

As far as NJPW legends I see it as Inoki, Fujinami and Tiger Mask along with the Three musketeers. Yes, Dynamite Kid is a NJPW legend but I don't see him as quite on that level as those others.

Riki Choysu was another of the NJPW legends. Even if Super 7 can sign some of these guys to produce as Japanese Wrestling legends Chono might be one of the easiest to sign. From what I heard Muto has been tougher to sign to licensing deals.

I'd be willing to bet Chono's deal with Max Factory, the company that produces the Figma line was a one and done type of thing. They seem to produce a lot of random one-offs in that line.

There's really no point in arguing about legends because we already know this line is gonna be the current roster.
