No it wasn’t they didn’t have these figures released until way after the last inauguration and the next one isn’t until 2025 They were in production way before the last inauguration though. The second set is still sitting on big bad and entertainment earth. Not looking good for the line. Whether that has to do with inflation, consumers being unhappy with the line, or another reason the fact is the second set didn’t sell as well as the first one. Super 7 not answering fan questions is not a good sign either. If you think the price of gas won’t change how consumers collect you are lying to yourself. They’ve been in production for 87 years

Last I checked I was on a figure website, in a section talking about New Japan Pro-Wrestling….who’s presidents are known for giving things a hard time internally.
Not Politicians or Gas prices

Not Politicians or Gas prices Yeah it’s not like NJPW (and Japanese businesses in general) have a reputation for being stubborn and burning bridges or anything…

Brian Flynn responded to a comment asking about NJPW in the latest Gi Joe post…his answer was “it’s complicated” So I’d assume it has to do with contractual related things or more on NJPW’s side.

That basically means keep your expectations low and maybe we’ll be surprised

Well, that wasn’t a straight out “no”. I’ll take it and hold out hope we’ll see more figures from this line. Still lots of NJPW wrestlers I’d like figures of.

It's a shame that NJPW makes it so difficult to do business with them.

Wish they went with 90s too. Or at least do a combination of different eras.

Wish they went with 90s too. Or at least do a combination of different eras. This would have been great. In the dream scenario I’d have had series 1 as Okada, Tanahashi, Inoki, and Hashimoto.

Apparently they wanted to do legends, which would have been difficult since New Japan doesn't do legends deals anyways, but New Japan told them current talent only. Would have loved Hashimoto, Chono, Fujinami and Inoki as the first wave.
