I'm in a 10 team league with all TDs scoring 6 points. I had the 3rd pick in the draft. I know logic tells me I should have took a RB, but I took Peyton Manning with my first pick. I'm just not high on Larry Johnson this year, and I think Alexander is fragile. SO I figure take the best QB instead of a RB.. I think I still got some kick ass running backs as well. Anyway, here's my roster broken up by position.
Yes, my team name is Billy DEE Williams.. I pick a random actor every year as my team name.
QBs: Taking peyton first overall, I ignored the QB position for the next severall rounds for obvious reasons. I figure Leftwich and Jackson will be suitable enough for a one week replacement of Peyton. Picked up Sorgi for insurance.
Peyton Manning (IND)
Byron Leftwich (JAX)
Tavaris Jackson (MINN)
Jim Sorgi (IND)
RBs: I was VERY pleased to pick up Rudi and Edge with my 2nd and 3rd picks respectively. Some could call Edge a reach with the 3rd pick but I think he's going to have a bounce back year. Jacobs should have a breakout season as well. Bell, Foster, and Buckhaulter are all an injury away from being studs themselves.
Rudi Johnson (CIN)
Edgerrin James (ARZ)
Brandon Jacobs (NYG)
Mike Bell (DEN)
DeShaun Foster (CAR)
Correll Buckhaulter (PHI)
WR: Love Colston as my #1 WR, I figure I can platoon Moss, Stallworth, and Hackett for my 2nd and 3rd WRs. Hackett is going to be hasselbeck's #1 option this season so I think he's a big time sleeper pic. Gonzalez could very well put up Brandon Stokely type number in Indy.
Marques Colston (NO)
Santana Moss (WAS)
Donte Stallworth (NE)
D.J. Hackett (SEA)
Anthony Gonzalez (IND)
Ashley Lelie (SF)
TEs: Vernon Davis is a stud, he could easily put up monster numbers this year. Michael should thrive in St. Louis with Bulger throwing to him.
Vernon Davis (SF)
Randy McMichael (StL)
K: When Edge doesn't score for the cardinals, Rackers will. Plus he's got some killer range
Neil Rackers (ARZ)
Josh Scobee (JAX)
DEFENSE: Miami is a solid unit on D, especially with Ted Ginn running back kicks. The Colts are a much better D with Bob Sanders healthy.. still aren't that great but I'm a colts fan so whatever!
Miami Dolphins
Indianapolis Colts
Tentative early lineup:
Peyton Manning (QB)
Rudi Johnson (RB)
Edgerrin James (RB)
Marques Colston (WR)
Donte Stallworth (WR)
Santana Moss (WR)
Vernon Davis (TE)
Neil Rackers (K)
Miami Dolphins (D)
