I've always loved the "I don't need to sell figures - I have a job" posture. It's such a grasp for people to try and pedestalize themselves over the heads of people they don't even personally know, based solely upon factors that are circumstantially inconvenient to them. Or ... you know ... they just dont sell figures for outrageous profits. Maybe I’m wrong though 🤔 I hope tbat Oprah Winfrey catches wind and gives everybody a Don Muraco !

There’s no excuse for it, plain and simple. If you truly love the hobby, you wouldn’t take advantage of fellow collectors. I always love when scalpers get all egotistical and try to roll with the Villain gimmick to make themselves not feel like bungholes

Says who? You? Why should someone be obligated to forfeit profits to appease your collecting habits? Nobody is obligated, bro. I said that it SHOULD be here to help fellow collectors, but there’s way to many selfish people these days and they use these boards as info to aid that. Maybe I was raised differently than you, but I dont need 16 Don Muraco’s to bait people for 3 x’s retail to make $$$ ... I work a job for that. Do you think it's possible that your place of employment also buys things for one price and sells them at a higher one? Even if it's just labor.. that's kinda the way this whole thing works in the US. It's super frustrating as a collector, but to act like these people are sound something wrong or unethical is just incorrect. They're doing nothing different than Target, Walmart, or any other figure reseller.

I think that it’s bs that is so hard to find anything in stores these days. I check Target and Walmart everyday. I leave empty handed 99% of the time. The worst part is that I see empty shelves. Stores are missing out of making sales

Muraco is averaging $40-$45. If a collector wants it, not too bad a price to pay, especially with holiday shopping going on. Unless you want to constantly spend days/hours checking online or calling/driving to stores. If Muraco was to be available for purchase here, he'd probably be around that price and be bought without much complaint. Even though, that would be "scalper" pricing to some.
I dislike the hunt myself but what's more important, time or money, if you really want something that bad. Time is more valuable to me.

Is Muraco going to be a little more readily available in a few months?

Thankfully Nivro™ was able to hook me up with one, because I had him in my cart twice only to be out of stock once I completed my checkout. If not for Nivro™ if I didn’t eventually find it locally or on the WalMart site I just wouldn’t get him. And Muraco has been on my “Top 10 Wish List” since Mattel was rumored to have the WWE license, but I am not going to pay someone on the secondary market because they either got to the store before me or got it online before me. People want to scalp that’s fine, but I’m not going to help support them.

So I looked up when people started reporting the Styles/Bliss/Roode SvS sets in store, it was the first or second week of December. Still have a shot, but may have to contend with the WWE/MOTU ring for floor space.

People who want an action figure that was released this year shouldn’t have to pay $45 to Simpsons Comic Book Guy for it.

Maybe in a perfect world. With Mattel/Target/Walmart distribution of regular Elites still a mess, forget about finding chases/exclusives without putting the time & leg work.
