Since Halloween is right around the corner, I wanted to know if any of you dressed up as your favorite wrestler back in the day? If you have any photgraphical evidence feel free to share. I would if I could, but I feel like it would be easier to sew my own custom Giant Gonzalez bodysuit than it would be to post a simple picture on this God forsaken site.
My earliest memories of a wrestling costume are actually of my brother as he dressed up as Bret Hart in 1994. My mom worked her ass off sewing together the singlet as well as the jacket and it looked great for a DIY costume.
In 1999, I dressed up like Mankind which ended up looking pretty good. The mask was homemade, but everything else was fairly simple to put together. Not hard to screw up a button-up and some sweats.
As like most people, I endured a "dark ages" phase where I didn't dress up, but in recent years have gotten back into the fun as Halloween is easily my favorite holiday. I've dressed up as Brutus Beefcake, The Rockers (with my old roommate), Randy Savage and even La Parka which was a blast.
