Thank you AFA for answering our questions on here. Could you provide an answer as to why we haven’t gotten another Nikolai Volkoff? Maybe one in his LJN attire? We have only gotten one and it was almost a decade ago and he was in an exclusive 2 pack. Also any plans on a dream team Beefcake to go with the upcoming Valentine figure? There are so many great Beefcake attires that would make great figures. Just hasn’t happened. No reasons to share. Maybe we’ll get to more figs of Brutus and Volkoff in the future. |

AFA Thanks for making this such a fun and insightful way to interact with all of us. Think a lot of us have missed this level of back and forth in a respectful manner. New questions: 1. RSC got a Hardy Boyz Flashback set. I think a bunch of legends/flashback collectors would happily go this route for classic tag teams. Would that be a situation where you present a potential set to gauge interest or would RSC/retail partner request something? Asking to see a possible way to get a Doom, Killer Bees, British Bulldogs sets. 2. Is there a certain time frame for popular legends to get a new release? Like alright guys it's been six months/year since we released a new Bret Hart figure. Let's work him in early in the Ultimate Edition line? 3. With the rise of AEW is there more pressure to try and get figures out of people who are rumored to be disgruntled/possibly leaving instead of say a Randy Orton who just re-upped? Bummed we never got a WCW Dustin Rhodes after his lengthy run with WWE. Thanks so much for answering any you're able to! We’re not in the right climate currently to make consistent classic tag team packs work for a variety of reasons; retail support, retail shelf space, talent availability and more. If those talents became available to us, single fig releases would be doable. There’s no specific time frame in place for revisiting Legends. We just want to make sure at minimum there’s a little breathing room in between releases. There’s no additional pressure. Development times are long and we always strive to get things out as timely as possible given the nature of toy manufacturing. We’re cognizant of what’s going on in the business for sure though. |

Will Ultimate Edition line up increase from 2 figs per series to 3 or 4 in the future?

Figured that might be the case, but wanted to put it out there that I at least would support any and all classic tag team release formats.
Sounds like Surfer Sting has breathed long enough. Time for a new release! ;-)
Thrilled to hear about more 80s WWF guys and first-timers in the works. By that same token any headway on new 80s NWA stars? You guys have really done a great job of working in the main cogs -- I'm so hyped to have a Magnum TA figure -- and I'd love to see Mattel's take on Nikita Koloff for example.
And just found and grabbed the UE Nakamura so I echo robeskimo's hopes about increasing the UE wave count. Is that a possibility to just have an even case of four different figures?

Only so many slots to go around. There will be more though. I am not even going to say what I thought I read when reading this reply. lol Anyway I have said this before. There should be a surfer Sting in every wave of figures you release. The next should be the BeachBlast ‘92 Sting. And I am easy it could be as a standard Elite, Elite 2-Pack with a WCW Cactus Jack or an Ultimate Edition. I would buy it either of those ways. Hell, I would buy all three ways if they were all released. I'd like to see an 80s Surfer Sting, since there's yet to be one. |

Seeing as we have Dangerous Danny Davis as a referee now in the BAF Wrestlemania set, is there any plans for a Dangerous Danny Davis in his wrestling gear down the road? Any chance of Essa Rios? Id even settle for a battlepack with Lita... in their debut gear. I love when you guys do Flashback figures, any chance of guys who have been deceased for years? For example Lord Alfred Hayes, Adrian Adonis, Dino Bravo, Mr. Fuji, Luscious Johnny V, etc. Any chance of more Sensational Sherris? Thank you for your time. Realistically, we probably won’t be seeing Essa Rios in the line. Sorry. Standard answer for all the other talent you mentioned. If they’re under deals, we’ll try to make it happen. Some are really really long shots of getting signed though like Alfred Hayes and Dino Bravo even though I’d love to own figs of them. |

Action Figure Attack Does ever Mattel contact wwe and let them know that fans are itching for certain figures? Like if wwe has no idea there’s a demand would you guys bring it to their attention to try and get a deal going?

Is anyone aware that every Rock & Austin elite have the wrong kneepads? This has been going on for a decade. And i've always had to swap them onto the other. Since they have each others pads. (orton has also got the wrong kneepads for a decade. but i think he finally started getting the correct ones recently??)
Why hasn't AJ STyles gotten his own elbow pad mold. He certainly gets enough figures to warrant it. (also why did the open elbow pad mold disappear?)
Speaking of someone that gets enough figures to warrant a new mold. Why on earth would Mattel paint a long sleeve shirt over Jeff hardy's tanktop torso instead of either making a new mold for that shirt. Molding just a normal bare chest torso in black. Or using the MVP/Goldust torso??

Looks like AFA skipped these questions so I will throw in my 0.02.
Regarding Volkoff, they probably don't think he will sell as a standalone figure- the figure they did release was in a 2-pack with Iron Sheik. It would be nice to see another figure with the turtle neck and a different head scan, although I doubt that will happen.
