Any thoughts to die cast belts? Mattel makes Hot Wheels so clearly has the skill/resources to make small metal objects with great paint apps? Seems like a no brainer to me? (I honestly though this would have been a great selling point in the Ultimates)
Last question, have you guys explored the idea of numbering the store exclusives? (E.g. 1/5000 etc.) Would really add to the collector experience In my view, and it’s not like it will attract more scalpers (that ship sailed months ago😞).
Thanks for taking some time on the boards and engaging with us nut cases...

How come in the last few years Mattel has been missing on scale between Elites and Basics? With certain guys their basics have been noticeably shorter? And will it be corrected going forward. Here’s a few examples. Bret Hart - his Elites and basic all Pink RRH are all taller than his other Basics. Sting - all his Elites are taller than his basics (minus the Network Spotlight and the Fan Central BP surfer Stings) Macho Man - all his Basics are taller than his Elites because he is given those long shins with the mid high boots. When you could have easily given his basics the same shins and tall boots used on the Original EG M$M. Drew McIntyre - his latest Basic is much shorter his NXT Elite. There are two different designers now. Bill used to do both Elites and Basics and now he does Elites and Ultimates. Someone else does Basics. The team aligns as much as possible but some things will slip through the cracks. Work in progress.

Are there any gimmicks that are considered not acceptable to be replicated by Mattel? Such as Val Venis, Goldust in leather straps, etc Yes. There's some common sense gimmicks or looks that wouldn’t be appropriate at retail.

Without naming names (obvi), has there ever been any talent that's been difficult to work with?

Will there be more situations like with Ali and E72 Dream where you guys work with the talent and get attires that they very recently or haven’t even wore yet?
Can we get a figure of Rollins in his Quantum Realm attire?
Also if you can tell me please how did E69 Ali sell? He’s my favorite wrestler right now and I love his gear and I really hope we get more elites of him?
Thanks AFA!

Do you guys always decide which attire gets released for a wrestler? Or do the wrestlers themselves approach you about releasing their favorite attire? How do you decide where to place a legend in a line? Do you just insert the wrestler in, right after getting the approval to make them? I understand that you request wrestler that you would like to make. Do you ever get it in reverse; like does WWE send you a memo about wanting this wrestler or attire to be added to a certain line? We usually decide looks. Sometimes we work with WWE ahead of time like with the Ali figures and the most recent Velveteen Dream. The core team involved usually decides where to place Legends. We decide based on a lot of factors like perceived demand, viable looks, precious releases, length of contract, tooling budget available, etc. WWE then needs to approve and they may have requests or adjustments. While we create in initial lineups, WWE has final day and yes they can make adjustments and have specific requests at times.

That’s a great question, he is a major hole in a golden age collection. Hope something changes, I’d love an LJN attire Bulldogs 2 pack.
I'd buy multiple bulldogs in different attires. They had some good runs with the Dream Team and Hart Foundation to name a few. So I'd buy the opposing team in different attires as well.
So would I, there are at least 4 beefcake attires alone that would make great figures. Maybe they could ease up on all the Scott Halls and Kevin Nash’s and release a Beefcake or two. Could use an all pink Hart foundation also, maybe also a JYD in red for good measure.

Why is the deco on a lot of AJ Styles belts missing? Really makes a great figure look off sometimes, the new basic and latest Top Talent Elite come to mind where he should have that green inside the white on his belt.

Yes, this is still the plan. Die cast titles would be cool but it wasn’t the point of Ultimate figs. Ultimate figs allow complete poseabilty from from arena entrance through in ring action with swappable parts and increased articulation for more expressive posing. If we added diecast titles, we’d need to remove heads, hands, entrance gear, etc. Maybe premium titles would work somewhere else in the future. No numbered editions happening anytime soon.

Ali’s fig is doing well.

Just talking generally here, gear has to be adapted to make it work from a technical, cost and sometimes legal standpoint on toys.

If Hacksaw is still under a deal, would you consider making a ruthless aggression era version of him?
Have General Adnan, Colonel Mustafa, and a heel Srg Slaughter been considered?

There's some common sense gimmicks or looks that wouldn’t be appropriate at retail. To follow up on this: We know Val Venus is very likely not signed to any sort of deal. But it’s often debated on whether or not he could be made at all. Could you provide any sort of answer on this?

Thats seriously unfortunate about LoD. I know I'm just a guy who collects and I have no clue about what goes on behind the scenes, so its just unfathomable to me that those guys wouldn't just be on the "lifetime deal" list. lol It is a bummer. A quick google search will tell you why many talents are currently off the table. oooooohhh...thats right, i always forget about that thing and who was involved with it.

Since he's under contract with a merch deal, what are the chances of a 2006 Cruiserweight Champ Gregory Helms Elite sometime in the future?

Do you guys ever reach out to gear designers of wrestlers for reference pics and/or upcoming designs that have yet to be released? I know MainEventGear and KavanaKustoms on Instagram pretty much make everyone in WWEs attires outside of the few that are done in house.

If WWE approves it, I don't think they care what the gimmick is- $$ is what both companies care about. They have made figures of demons, zombies, voodoo witch doctors, Ugandan headhunter, deranged psychopath, Goldust and soon Chyna (porn actress). Compared to all of those, I don't think a pimp is that bad.
