To be transparent, the Best of Attitude Era figs didn’t set the world on fire while available on Amazon. Those were great figures and I’m certain they would have sold very quickly if available at regular retail. The Legends figures offered on Matty Collector years ago were also not strong performers. It seems as though the majority of WWE collectors still prefer to hunt for their figures at brick and mortar stores. If the collector base shifted to really embrace online offerings, this could be re-explored. I feel that one of the main issues for lines like Legends not selling well on Matty as well as brick and mortar was due to the fact that Mattel WWE was still a brand new product. Collectors still had tons of Jakks collections and did not want to spend the money on newer figures they already have. The original Legends release had more obscure attires as well. If they had more iconic looks, I think they would have sold better. Years later, most Jakks collections have been sold off and everyone is going to eBay to fill the voids from the original legends line. The fact that Mattels figures are far more superior than the past companies. I myself, fell into this category. I did not spend the money on many of the original Elite lines and Legends because of my Jakks collection. I feel if the Legends line returns online or in store, they would sell better than the original releases. Now 10 years after the initial launch, most WWE collections consist of mainly Mattel figures now. I do agree with you regarding people being initially hesitant to jump into collecting Mattel due to their existing Jakks collections as well as some of the gear choices in those early waves of Legends.

Any chances of Liv Morgan coming out soon in the basic series? I've been wanting to get my hands on her for awhile.....having her figure wouldn't be bad either. Thank you

AFA, is Tom Zenk ( Can Am Connection ) elite figure off the table? What is the status of his estate? I feel he deserves a figure, maybe a soft goods jacket. My guess is that it's probably a long shot... Can you clarify? Thanks.

So does that basically mean that, in a post-TRU world, a line can’t get going or survive without the support of at least one of Walmart and Target? So if you had, for example, a line that very vocal and annoying middle-aged brats desperately wanted to see return, then that could only really happen if one of those two retailers could be convinced to try again with the line? Yes. A line having enough support to go forward usually requires buy in from one of the big two retailers. TRU would have been part of that equation before. Thanks for discussing this with us.

Has a Buried Alive Match playset ever been considered? It’d probably be hard to pull off in a post-TRU world but I’d love to see it

I think the main issue was you made to many. When Series 1 and Series 2 were released they hit retail around here at the same time, but then KMart also got the Hall of Fame wave at the same time which was basically a combination of L1 & L2 with a little cardboard plaque and gold base instead of black base. But they were the same figures showing up at retail at the same time competing with each other. So if you found series 1 and 2 you didn’t need to get the HoF and vise versa. The HOF should have been repaints not straight rereleases so there was an incentive to get both versions. And I know you don’t have anything to do with distribution. That’s the retailer’s distribution centers, but with the Legends Series 1 2-Pack the Nanuet NY TRU got two shipments of them. The first shipment they had 90 cases sitting on top of the aisle shelves. The second shipment was another 60+ Cases. That was 150 cases of the same 3 sets that this one store needed to sell through. With Jakks they never received more than 5 cases of any CSTT wave.

Distribution in Canada has been a lot stronger over the last number of months than it ever was previously. Can this be attributed to anything in particular, and can we expect it to continue in the near future?

Action Figure Attack any chance for more amazon exclusive figures? They wouldn’t have to free up retail shelf space, and it’d be a little easier for collectors to acquire them. Imo the attitude era exclusives were a little lackluster. Too many guys in pre ring gear. However I did really like the packaging and the Chris Jericho figure. To be transparent, the Best of Attitude Era figs didn’t set the world on fire while available on Amazon. If the collector base shifted to really embrace online offerings, this could be re-explored. that was waaaayy to early in the legends to judge how'd they do now. not to mention the whole way matty collector was. just having em on RSC and an announcement for when and itd be much better sales than matty got.

Any plans to redo the Raw and Smackdown tag titles and make the straps thicker like they actually are?
They are way too thin and it's not even close to being accurate.

In my opinion Bam Bam Bigelow's attire with blue or purple flames are his most iconic looks. Since Hasbro and Jakks never made these attires, is there a chance that Mattel can finally make them? The 2 Mattel figures of Bam Bam are hard to find now, so could we expect a new figure of him, maybe as the chase in a main Elite line. Not sure if we’ll revisit Bam Bam again but I would love to see the versions you mentioned along with the look from his initial WWE run as Mattel figs.

Action Figure Attack A few questions. Will there be an increase of NXT guys in the basic line? Now that the universal championship is Blue, do you have time to add it to the upcoming Fiend Elite? Any update on War/Viking Raiders? Battlepack or elites? Thank you
