Action Figure Attack A few questions. Will there be an increase of NXT guys in the basic line? Now that the universal championship is Blue, do you have time to add it to the upcoming Fiend Elite? Any update on War/Viking Raiders? Battlepack or elites? Thank you You’ll probably see them included in Basics a tad more. I don’t think it’s possible to include the blue Universal title with the Fiend’s debut Elite. We’re already pushing to get that out as quickly as possible. No comment on unannounced figs. You’ll have to stay tuned to future reveals. Awesome!! Thank you!!

First thanks for taking the time to answer our questions. What are the chances at some point RSC could sell store exclusives also? Pretty much what im trying to ask is there any way ringside could sell everything Mattel releases? I know it would come at a premium but atleast alot of people including myself wouldnt miss out on store exclusives or have to way overpay a scalper for the chance of getting one.

With the rumors of Cody Rhodes now owning the trademark “Dusty Rhodes.” Does this mean more future Dusty Rhodes?

What brand paint/sealer does Mattel use?

What brand paint/sealer does Mattel use? Absolutely no idea. I’m not even sure design would know what type the factory uses.

It was addressed earlier in the thread IIRC. Only other Dusty I'd personally want is a 70s slimmer version or a Legends reissue with a cop hat and nightstick

Those retailers want exclusivity as does Ringside with their exclusives.

What figure(s) have wowed you Mattel guys with how in demand/popular they were? Surely you expect all of them to do well, but which have been the strong sellers that were pleasant surprises?

Has Mattel explored the idea of ‘loot launcher’ in the past? And if not, is this something that could be looked into. Basically risk free for you guys and might be a great way to try and get an obscure (Gooker 😜) figure out... might also be a great way to re-introduce the Legends line? I know other company’s (NECA) are doing it and it seems that it calls out ‘fans’ to put their money where their mouth is... PS... the comments re: Legends line and collectors having a ‘Jakks Hangover’ are on the money. The line sells like hot cakes today. Also, can you give a brother a follow-back on Insta? @hit_daWarriorDemon_man (you don’t get if you don’t ask 👍) Thanks as always for your ongoing interaction... you may have saved the boards!!! Totally familiar with Loot Launder. Backed the Splinter and Gremlin figures recently. Matty Collector used this model for most of it’s offerings. It’d be a great option for sure.

Hi AFA, my collection is a little niche aside from my Ultimate Warrior collection, I focus on WWE champions in the attires that they first won their first title in. I’m doing okay especially with the new Big Show, Kane/undertaker exclusive and the UE Triple H but I’m surprised how we haven’t had The Rock as an Elite in his red Accent trunks. Has this just slipped through the net or, like Triple H - could we be seeing this as an UE sometime soon!? 😉 The other one is Bret when he first won the title in Saskatoon against flair. There is a great moment at the end where he pulls down his singlet to celebrate. Do you think we could ever get a soft singlet for this figure? It would be pretty unique compared to his other figures Thanks! Those looks are possibilities but doubtful Bret would get a soft goods singlet.

1/ Can we look at a Colonel Mustafa figure ASAP before you lose the rights to Sheik please? We’ve had four Sheiks so far and no Mustafa. ☹️ 2/ Is the Paul Ellering figure dead in the water? Can it be rescued somehow if so? 3/ Will there be a 2002 NWO elite style Nash to match the Hall you did? Thanks in advance for any answers and doing this for us collectors. 👍🏻 I’d like to see a Mattel Colonel Mustafa fig. Not sure if it’ll happen but it’s on my mind while doing lineups. The Paul Ellering fig is stuck in purgatory. Like Mustafa, not sure if it’ll happen but I’m mindful of trying to get it out. Similar answer for Nash.

When you say “WWE says this” or “WWE says that”....what actual department within WWE works with Mattel?
If there is a factory error or something along those lines...does Mattel get “credit”? As in, does it screw up the budget of a line or a department because Corbin has hair (just an example) when he wasn’t meant to? Not sure how to make that more clear right now. Basically if someone else makes an error, can it directly effect the figure line/future series even though it wasn’t your team’s fault?
What got you into wrestling? Do you attend shows?

Have you ever thought about going back in early Elite series and re-doing a figure to either improve it or change something you didn't particularly like about it? (I know you weren't on the team then, but I'm sure you see and know about every elite ever right? lol) and if so, who & what would you do? for me an example would be I'd love to re-do the Elite 12 Daniel Bryan, get rid of that awful head and give him a more realistic look, with one of his cool looking entrance jackets I want the Basic Hurricane as an Elite. I would have released Tugboat with swappable heads. The toot head from Shockmaster as the second head. Elite 16 Rock with better goatee. Even though it’s a newer fig, I want classic Vince shorter.

Any chance you guys will take another shot at Barry Windham? Perhaps with his hair down and a swappable Four Horsemen hand? Depends on Barry’s future availability to us.

AFA,hypothetically speaking, if the Killer Bees were to ever be made, how would you guys do it? Soft goods jacket? Masks similar to Andrade elite 74? Black tube socks with generic Air Jordans' look? Just wondering....🤗😀 They’d need swappable heads for the masked look. That’s the only thing I’m certain of. Anything else would be dependent on design choices and balancing their cost within their wave.

Have there been any recent discussions about throwback playsets? Funeral Parlor, Piper’s Pit, The Barbershop, etc? Any discussion of making pixelated figures (8/16/32bit) Something similar to these: Any idea if the MWFP figures has to be cleared with WWE or Mattel first?

While I knew King Mabel would be popular because of pent up demand and it’s a killer fig, his reception has far exceeded those expectations.

Any discussion of making pixelated figures (8/16/32bit) Something similar to these: Of course. Talk of playsets, different form factors, deco executions. We’re fans just like you and a few of us are super fans. There are only so many realistically doable items that can go forward at a time though. The awesome ideas are really endless.

We predominantly work with WWE CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods). Factory errors are of course a hassle and can potentially cause a domino effect of problems. Can’t get into specifics beyond that. I fell in love with wrestling during the Mega-Powers storyline. I had liked it previously but that storyline got me totally hooked. My dad would take me to shows at the old Philadelphia Spectrum every month. My fandom never waned.
