When determining the pairings for the coliseum collection will you always go with the versus theme or will you ever consider tag teams and/or wrestler/manager?

Did Hypothetical Roddy poke you in that eye or something?

Once again, sorry if this has been asked before but; Does a wrestlers inclusion in the Coliseum Collection lower the chances of a release in Ultimate Editions. As an example, I’d really love to see “Ravishing” Rick Rude in the repeating Simply Ravishing ring gear. Plus, he could get both long and short hair heads as he wore those tights with both looks. Nope. If they’re viable for multiple releases and they have strong looks, we can certainly do them again elsewhere.

When determining the pairings for the coliseum collection will you always go with the versus theme or will you ever consider tag teams and/or wrestler/manager? We just need viable sets. They may be themed, matches, teams, alliances, or just two balanced figs together (anchor and supporting talent).

Does a talent still need to be under contract to do a straight re-release sorry if this has been asked before?

Hey Steve, excited for Wrestlemania weekend. So...
I'm wondering will you release a blue chair in the correct baby blue colorway?
I know you released blue chairs for the Mattel Creations New Generation Macho Man. Those chairs weren't the right color (blue was too bright) and molded with "seat cushion" for announcers. I'm hoping for the hard-core style chair.

Hi Steve, I love the coliseum collection but I’m worried how long the first wave has been on Mattel Creations. Have offers been discussed to incentivise customers to buy more like 3 for 2 or buy one get the second half price. Same goes for retros. I want these collector packs to live on for many years. Thanks!

I think the classic titles would be a good start, the winged Eagle, intercontinental and tag belts, then the attitude era belts. Alot of people feel the belts just haven't kept up with all the figure improvements -if budgeting and tooling are the issue then you guys could sell the hell out of an ultimate edition belt line. 5 belts per pack with high quality belts. This doesn’t really solve anything unfortunately. It doesn’t work that way. It really does - are you not even a little bit embarrassed when you see the efforts of companies like forbidden figurines ? They have made your belts look like toys you would get in a Christmas cracker. I don't want to come across as cheeky here but the winged Eagle has never had an upgrade. You are making amazing figures these days, especially with the ultimates, and yes most people on here will slam me for having this opinion and questioning your can't do opinion on the matter, but you guys should take a look at what forbidden figurines have made and try to go down that road. I love your figures Bill and remain a loyal customer - but your belts are living in the past. Maybe if there weren't so many hands with every figure then this may free up some budget?

Hi Steve, clearly I’m not alone in my “Will Coliseum Collection Continue?” anxiety, based on both sets still being available when, historically, collector figures can sell out quickly. I don’t recall if it was on here or an online interview, but I remember hearing you say there were 2 years already planned for this line at 2-3 sets per year. I know nothing is certain, but can you quell our nerves by saying if that is still the plan? I’m all in on this line as my favorite figs since the LJNs. Thank you much!

Steve, you as a collector, do you like the new leg extension on the Ultimates? I did not have the chance to see them in person yet, but they appear to be very fragile and I wonder if we get more benefits out of it conpared to the disadvantages.

Well first of all, I’m not Bill. Why would I be embarrassed by the great customizers and independent companies out there. They’re amazing and I’m a fan and customer of some of them. What they do vs mass manufacturing product for retailers are two totally different things. Telling you your particular solution doesn’t work is not a “can’t do opinion”. I’m just telling you that the idea doesn’t solve the tooling spend issues, the costs issues or the work well in the current retail landscape. That was not me shutting the door on improvements in general. So once again, as I posted a few posts back, what specifically are you and others looking for in improved belts? Let’s start there.

Give them a shot and as you play around with them more and more you’ll discover more possibilities. And if you’re not a big figure poser, simply don’t use them. They’re not fragile. They’re probably sturdier than the standard hips and they’ll simply article down instead of potentially snapping in the middle.
