We’ve added a Greatest Hits Ultimate as a replacement. We had to go with a figure with existing tooling due to the timing. More to come. Why are simple repaints not considered in this instance? Seems like a missed opportunity to me? This list is endless of repaints you could do rather than reissuing everything all the time. Thoughts? If there was time, we would have done that in this case. We do need to be mindful of product arriving on time for retailer needs, planogram resets, etc. New deco would require deco creation, approvals, packaging creation, and full development to ensure it’s produced accurately; essentially almost full time table sans new sculpts and tooling to create and produce. |

Hi Steve, I’d like to grow my website next year (toy-news.co.uk) to include e-commerce and have this idea to sell ‘hard to sell’ Coliseum Collection waves. Full production funded by myself and shipped by myself as per Ringside. I’d love to discuss this with you further if this would be of interest? I’m thinking waves that might struggle to sell on Mattel Creations without an anchor. For instance: Brutus & Valentine Bobby Heenan & Classy Freddie Don Muraco & Bruno Sammartino Paul Orndorff & Bob Orton Jimmy Hart & Mene Gene Big Boss Man & Bam Bam Bigelow Kamala & Junkyard Dog Thanks You’d have to have a significant sized business (Ringside/Amazon level) based on mainline items first before qualifying for exclusives. Exclusive items are created to support the health of mainline at retail. If you’re serious about running a business of that size, reach out to the UK team on the Mattel UK business site and start the process. Thanks Steve, Unfortunately I have no interest in selling mainline items. Can nothing be done? I’d be paying for the whole production run of a Coliseum wave up front to support that particular line to help get more lower echelon talent out that might struggle without an anchor. Would that not be appealing? |

And if it is, can the other attire still be released in a different line (with the same goatee head)? The deco was unable to be altered vs what was shown at SDCC. We can certainly revisit a Rock with that head sculpt and different logos on his trunks down the road. Has there been an update on The Survivor Series HBK since SDCC? The pants looked black and I know during a Q/A Bill mentioned that feedback could get it updated to the correct brown color. |

I’m curious to know why is that every other retailer have had their exclusives re-released besides RSC’s? Are their exclusive deals different than Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc or is it that the major retailers really don’t care but RSC being a smaller and more knowledgeable & hands on would object?

Hello, AFA, I've seen both the Star Wars and G.I. Joe elite-style figures starting to be released in these types of packages (images below) instead of the boxed-style. Any chance that Mattel goes this route with their elite figure? It would definitely cut down on the plastic window used in the current boxed packages, but it would still allow for the entire figure and accessories to be fully visible to the buyer. You use a similar style with the Coliseum Collection Ultimate figures, those seem to be pretty popular.    |

With the new merger of wwe and ufc does this give you all the opportunity of doing a ufc line is that something you all would even pursue given the chance

Any shot of the UE Andre being redone? Its just not nearly big enough and if you use the torso articulation to bend him back (like to straighten him out) the upper torso scratches the paint off of the singlet on the lower torso piece.

Steve, why not make 1 of the Ultimate lines in honor of Hasbros like the Coliseum line for LJN ?
I think LJN & Hasbros fan will support both lines. Imagine if Razor, Macho & the upcoming Yoko were all in special packaging!
Keep up the good work & looking forward to completing the LJN Ultimates.

Steve, just saw yesterday's reveal & I'm excited for the Ultimates, Virgil, Lawler. That said I have some minor improvement suggestions:
1) Can Kurt Angle torso get updated ? This is suffering from Eddie problem were is too big. This torso should be save for extra muscular guys like Warrior, Batista, Lashley.
2) Can Kurt Angle next Ultimate come with painted singlet. Just like Perfect this looks loose & will get worst in time.
3) Lashley - can we use their most memorable attires when it comes to Ultimate ? I would of done Hurt Business (same problem as RKO Ultimate).
4) Can all belts going forward be shiny. Nicholas belt looks dull like the USOS and should be like RKO UE belt.
