WrestleMania XX:
- Eddie Guerrero vs Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg (WWE Championship. Plus, the fans would have someone to cheer for in Eddie).
- Kurt Angle vs The Undertaker
- Randy Orton vs Cactus Jack (in the same match they had at Backlash)
- The Rock vs Chris Jericho (Jericho could've used the momentum of beating Rock. He had a quiet 2004)
WrestleMania 21:
- The Rock vs Sting in an icon vs icon match
WrestleMania 22:
- Shawn Michaels vs Rey Mysterio (Raw vs Smackdown)
- The Undertaker vs Kurt Angle II (World Heavyweight Championship in the main event)
WrestleMania 23:
- Heel CM Punk vs Mick Foley (ECW CHampionship. Foley's retirement match)

I wouldn't say I agree with a lot of this. Benoit and Badass Undertaker could be interesting. Angle and Undertaker had a good match at No Way Out 06, not sure that guarantees it would have been just as good in 04 and 05 and I really like the Eddie vs Angle feud from Mania XX.
The fans weren't dying for someone to cheer for in Lesnar vs Goldberg, they hated both. I don't think they'd have cheered Eddie as strongly as they boo'd the other two.
Additionally I think booking Jericho vs Rock does Jericho vs Christian a bit of a disservice as that match was decent. I also found the Evolution vs Rock n Sock to be a fun match to further set up the meanness of Orton vs Foley later.
Rey and Michaels gets a big "eh" from me. We saw it on Raw. The match would be serviceable but also might end up a time kill until the inevitable sweet chin music spot.
I would also have no time for Punk vs Foley. I don't find they line up well together and I'd rather the ECW championship just not be involved in WrestleMania. At this point I was also tired of Foley's part-time shtick to have largely the same feud with different current superstars. Edge didn't need it, and I don't think Punk would've either.
The RA era also happens to be one of, if not the, most disliked era for me, so maybe I'm just biased.

With Sting? I was always amazed his church buddy HBK wasn't able to convince him to sign in the 00s. Vince definitely wanted him in but they couldn't get it over the line....

Yeah, they could've kept negotiating fro ll of 2003/2004 sting was adamant about not going to the wwe in this time. never mind that before he started working with tna he was working with wwa- so it was clear if anywhere he’d be going to tna in the first place. and considering how wwe ended up using him, id say he made the right choice. |
