So yeah, remember when I asked if you can put a Nikki Bella head on a Lana body? This is why. I'm already working hard at trying to achieve this (and frankly I don't even have the Nikki Bella head in hand yet), but it is going to put my meager skills to the test. I'm going to have to... *gasp* paint her face. I have some new brushes in the works to get, but I think if I practice on the spare Lana head that I now have, I can get the hang of it before I go at Nikki. Also, I have to sculpt her hair. I'm not the worst hair sculpter in the world, but honestly I do best with curly hair, and this is straight hair. I will also have to sand down the top a bit to get rid of the spaghetti straps and bra line. Then I will attempt to dry brush the whole thing. Not sure how the design already present on the dress will effect things, will have to work with it and see. Her hair needs trimmed and painted, along with the sculpt. All in all, if I can pull this off, it will put the custom of her husband to shame. Anyway, Presenting my photoshopped version of my WIP Custom... MARISSA MAZZOLA-MCMAHON! For the record, the primary reason I am making her is that it has been a dream of mine since about 2003 to have a display with the Entire adult McMahon Family. Shane, Vince, Steph, and Hunter are all easy enough, but if I want the other two ladies, I'm gonna have to make them. I'm just DARN lucky they released that Wrestlemania Battle Pack with Nikki Bella that is (IMO) a better likeness for Marissa than Nikki herself. Linda? That's a project for another day.

Well, yes, and no. I ran into some problems. First of all, the head works perfectly, I'm just not nearly as skilled a sculptor or painter as I am a digital artist (and judging from my DA skills, that should tell you something). Second, the Lana body was WAAAAAAY too tall. Like, absurdly too tall. Marissa is hecking short, and it would have absolutely bugged the snot out of me to make the figure the same height as Shane when, IRL, she barely reaches his shoulder in HEELS. So the body I planned was mostly out. Third, I bought an Elizabeth figure to use and sculpted the dress on. However my sculpting skills are the worst EVER, and it looked like trash. Also, the problem is that the Nikki Bella head is way too big for the Elizabeth Body. So while I did my best, I did "finish" the figure and had it on display for some time. Here's a picture of THAT version... And here's a picture of the setup I had (with Headless Linda) As you can see, her head is much too big, and the dress looks NOTHING like anything she, or anyone else would ever actually wear. But, at the time, it was the best I could do. That was that, or so I thought. Fast forward to recently when the Basic 104 (?) Alexa Bliss figure was released, and I realized "Hey. I can make the figure so much better now!" Well, I tried. And first thing that happened was that I wrecked the head and face trying to get it off the old body. I had used sculpy for the hair instead of milliput and it just destroyed itself in removal. So I had to do a full resculpt and repaint of her head. After that, I painted the body blue and black. And well... that's all I have for now. I'm awaiting some spray sealant that I want to finish her with (I'm not going to try and put her back together without sealing her first) and then I will post updated photos of my NEW!Custom. I'm not as happy with her head this time around, but the body is MUCH nicer, and still in scale with her darling husband. So, TL:DR... It's a work in progress!

You know what. You made me feel special. You get WIP pics. This is the new head. It's OK. I feel the face painting (especially the one eye) could be better but for a full, from scratch paint job? It's decent for my first effort. (I just sort of "selectively" painted her face the first time.) And this is the body. It's based on that one promo photo of her from the attitude era. I'm still considering adding the darker blue trim to the jacket, but not sure. So yeah, once the sealant arrives and she gets all assembled, I will take proper pictures of her with the rest of her family.
