Some of my favourite WWF Coliseum Videos to watch are the Hulkamania ones. Especially Hulkamania 2!! That is a great video, I think maybe one of the first 2 hour videos that the WWF Coliseum videos released.
Hulk Hogan from 1984 - 1991 was the man. I don't know what it was about that man, but if he had haters then, it was surely a small percentage. Though I wonder how over he would have been if the internet was around in the 80s??

The Mega Powers angle is one of my favourites ever.....its also Hogan's finest in ring moment for me at WM5. as said earlier in the thread...the catalyst for the 2 major boom periods in wrestling.

Bruiser Brody and Hulk Hogan should have had a match in Japan.

Aside from the WrestleMania IX Bret Hart shenanigans, I've always considered myself a closet Hulkamaniac.
Doesn't make my personal favorites Mount Rushmore, but there isn't even a debate that he is the most iconic professional wrestler of all-time.

Apparently, Hulk Hogan has only been pinned or submitted in a singles match 26 times since 1984
Ultimate Warrior The Rock (Wrestlemania X8, No Way Out 2003) Goldberg HHH Kurt Angle Brock Lesnar Lex Luger (Monday Nitro x2) Undertaker (Survivor Series 91, Judgment Day 2002) Yokozuna Rowdy Roddy Piper (Starrcade 96, Halloween Havoc 97) Ric Flair (Monday Nitro Jan 96, Uncensored 99) Arn Anderson Andre the Giant Sting (Halloween Havoc 99, Starrcade 97, Superbrawl 98, Fall Brawl 99, Bound for Glory 2011) Vampiro Mike Awesome The Giant
Edit: The video is missing Jacques Rougeau at a WCW House Show in 1997 and Billy Kidman at Great American Bash 2000.

I wasn’t born until 1990 but started watching in 1994. His nWo run was huge for me during my childhood and I’ve grown to love his 80s work as well. Whether you loved him or hated him nobody can deny that he started two wrestling booms and is arguably the biggest star this industry has even produced (really only Rock and Austin can be compared on his level of stardom).

Hogan facing giants or major threats one after the other on SNME was so awesome!

I was watching mid south from 1984 and was thinking how JR has been commentating for an ungodly amount of time. so i guess JR-A-Mania runs the wildest!

I don’t have a hulkamania shirt...but I’ll rock that nWo tee in remembrance! It would be hard to think of what the wrestling world would be like without HH. Like him or not he was the catalyst behind both the 80s and 90s wrestling booms.

Love how back in the 80’s he made his opponents look like the biggest threat he’d ever faced. I used to get frustrated about him always winning, but on reflection, he’s one of the greatest sellers the business has ever seen.

26 Times seems fair for the goat. I was happy to see him do the favors a bunch in his second run vs Rock, Kurt, Brock and Taker.

Can't believe it's been 41 years. I honestly wish he did not exist because he empowered Vince to corrupt wrestling, but he's here and I guess I can't argue against the two booms in popularity he inspired at the national level. I would argue that wrestling should have never become a national level business, but that is an essay topic for another time. Happy Hulk-A-Mania season!

For everybody crapping on Hogan, they better be damn glad that he was around back when all the mainstream media attention focused on wrestling in the 80's. If Hogan wasn't there, there would be no wrestling like there has been. There were discussions on the topic if Hogan was never around and people say Dusty would have been a good person for that spot or even Sgt. Slaughter, but none of them would have taken wrestling to the heights that Hogan did. I've always appreciated Hogan for what he was, but I always liked the people he fought against, I always liked the heel.

Can't stand him. I grew up in NC and GA. I'm 45 so that means NWA and WCW. Was never a WWF fan. I know what he did for wrestling obviously, but Hulking Up and rarely losing just seemed so fake and dumb to me. Plus he looked like a glazed donut.

As a kid, I was a huge Hulk-a-maniac. I had shirts, figures, books, and posters. By the time I was in college, I couldn't stand him, and I've been wanting him to leave the business since 1995. Still, he has a lot of fans, and I can't deny that he played a huge role in one of wrestling's most mainstream periods.
