FOUR. WHOLE. DECADES to the day. Freddie Blassie walked a big blonde brawler our to the ring and the business would soon be changed forever. Whether you like him or not, (and I often don’t😂) he’s inseparable from pro wrestling history, so let’s throw on that red and yellow, do some bicep curls and talk about The Immortal Hulk Hogan! I was never a Hogan fan. I appreciated his existence but wanted to see him dethroned.
Savage was my favorite wrestler. I always liked the underdog, or guy that wasn't completely straight laced.
I think it's why I like Raphael and not Leonardo. Or why I like Batman but not Superman

Never liked him, but he made a huge impact on the wrestling industry. Without a doubt, one of the most recognizable people in the world, next to Mickey Mouse or Santa Claus.

When I first got into wrestling, Ultimate Warrior was my guy, but I still liked Hulk Hogan. He is one of the most important wrestlers in history and the way he could captivate a crowd and hold people in the palm of his hand really cannot be taught. He was (and yo a degree still is) an absolute true showman and I always felt that he was far, far better in the ring than many people gave him credit for.

I was a fan of Hulk Hogan and Ricky Steamboat back when I started watching wrestling. I like watching Hulk Hogan's matches from the 80s and in Japan.

I wouldnt be a wrestling fan if it wasnt for Hulk Hogan. He was the catalyst for the 2 most successful periods in wrestling history.

It is really hard to deny that you were once a fan of Hulk Hogan. I still don't like how Eric Bischoff overlooked alot of talent when he came to WCW.

You humanoids know my favs will always be Flair/Savage but there's no denying the impact Hogan had on the biz. You cant talk about the history of pro wrestling without em.
In closing....

The "Hogan Slamming Andre" is THE most iconic moment in the history of pro wrestling. Clearly not the best match, but that moment cemented the WWF as a household name. That clip was everywhere. If that doesn't happen, there is no PPV war with JCP, there is no Attitude era, there is no TNA or ROH or AEW. Again, there are better wrestlers, better matches, higher & more amazing spots. But nothing will ever top that one.

Technically Hulkamania didnt start in the WWF till 1984 Didn't Hulkamania technically start in the AWA in 82 or 83? I believe it was mentioned there before 1/23/84. That's the date when Hogan's and wwe's mass popularity began.

Yea if you want to include his AWA tenure I think it was around 82 when he feuded with Bockwinkel that the Hulkamania stuff first came up.
