(1-5, 5 being the best): 5 2) What were you looking forward to or most excited to see at this event?: hogans team vs andres team 3) What did you like most about this event?: the whole concept of team matches and getting to see little bits of wrestlers facing wrestlers u didnt see much. 4) What did hate most about this event?: was bummed hogan was counted out, but glad they gave andre a big win. man, his team would tough for any 5-man team to beat. 5) What could/would have made this event better to/for you?: maybe a 4th men tag match instead of the girls, but nothing really. a) best match: the 20-man tag match b) worst match: the girls match c) fav match: cant pick. luv all 3 mens matches. **Final Thoughts**: MAN, what a GREAT PPV! I was SOOO frikin excited for this one. playin out over and over how the matches might go. was really wanting to see superstar graham on hogan's team and see him maybe wrestle bundy/gang/rude/andre, but was very happy with new babyface muraco as replacement. this was the start to prob my fav ppv (survivor series) for many years to come. (1-5, 5 being the best): 5 2) What were you looking forward to or most excited to see at this event?: the whole event, but prob main event most. 3) What did you like most about this event?: having 4 mens tag matches. the 20-man tag match was so awesome! 4) What did hate most about this event?: nothing! loved it all. but was bummed andre got dq'd, shoulda been a winner again. 5) What could/would have made this event better to/for you?: nothing! a) best match: the 20-man tag match b) worst match: none were bad, but if had to pick, andre vs jakes match as jakes team was pretty weak. c) fav match: luv em all, but prob the main event. with all the storylines in it. **Final Thoughts**: another fav of all time event for me. i remember the back of wwf magazine and the co-captains listed wondering who all is gonna be on everyones teams. loved how each week we'd get more news on the teams. i didnt get to see it ppv, so had to wait awhile to see it which was a MAJOR Bummer. |

SSeries 87
1) What do you rate this event? (1-5, 5 being the best):5
2) What were you looking forward to or most excited to see at this event?: Main event and the 20 man tag team match
3) What did you like most about this event?: The 20 man tag match because man just having all those classic tag teams in one match was awesome. I also gotta mention Team Andre as they are my fav team in the events history.
4) What did hate most about this event?: Really nothing as this is my fav show in the events history
5) What could/would have made this event better to/for you?: Nothing
Best match- 20 man tag Worst- Ladies match Fav-20 man tag
Final thoughts- I loved this event. I thought it was great how they kept Hogan away from Andre for a good 8 months beforehand. Hands down like I said in the past here my fav SSeries of all time.
SSeries 88
1) What do you rate this event? (1-5, 5 being the best)- 4
2) What were you looking forward to or most excited to see at this event?:20 man tag
3) What did you like most about this event?:20 man tag.Andre again having another solid team
4) What did hate most about this event? Guys like Scott Casey and Sam Houston felt really out of place on their respective teams.
5) What could/would have made this event better to/for you?: Nothing
Best match- 20 man tag
Worst-Team Warrior vs Team Honky. Hated how a former great IC Champ like Valentine gets eliminated with only an axe handle.
Fav- 20 man tag
Final thoughts- Not as good as 87 IMO but still a very solid event during my fav era of the company.

**Final Thoughts**: A great first event for this franchise!
1988
PPV/Supercard Talk #13: Survivor Series 1987 & 1988

3) What did you like most about this event?: I liked that Hillbilly Jim was in the main event. Always liked the character and he's a great guy.
4) What did hate most about this event?: The fact that Dino Bravo was one of the survivors of his match
5) What could/would have made this event better to/for you?: See what I hated most about this show
a) best match: 20 man tag. Like in 87, this was a great idea to have all these teams in one match
b) worst match: Dino Bravo's match
c) fav match: Main event
**Final Thoughts**: I enjoyed it pretty much like the first. In fact the first 5 survivor series shows were awesome with the 3rd being the best.

PPV/Supercard Talk #13: Survivor Series 1987

2) What were you looking forward to or most excited to see at this event?: No clue, I didn't know about it until I rented it on video in 1988
3) What did you like most about this event?: the elimination style matches
4) What did hate most about this event?: the women's elimination match, and how badly they edited the coliseum video where you don't even see the Bulldogs get eliminated!
5) What could/would have made this event better to/for you?: scrap the women's match
a) best match: Team Hogan vs. Team Andre
b) worst match: The women's match
c) fav match: Team Savage vs. Team Honky Tonk Man
**Final Thoughts**: The talent in this show.... just wow! As I said before, Savage, Steamboat, Roberts, Beefcake and Duggan was one of my top 10 favourite teams for Survivor Series, so to me this event can't go wrong. Seeing Andre get the win at the end was unheard of for WWF TV too, seeing the villain get the final win over the Hulkster at that! I rented it A LOT when I was a kid from my local video store.

2) What were you looking forward to or most excited to see at this event?: Nothing really, again I was only 8 years old when this event happened so I don't remember much during that time for wrestling
3) What did you like most about this event?: The tag team elimination match
4) What did hate most about this event?: nothing really, it was decent
5) What could/would have made this event better to/for you?: For Rick Rude to get his hand raised over Dino Bravo being one of the winners
a) best match: the tag team elimination match
b) worst match: was there one?? All seemed pretty good
c) fav match: the tag team elimination match
**Final Thoughts**: I didn't see this show until 1996, so it had been some years in between it first aired and when I watched it. But I thought it was weird how they changed around the match format on the coliseum video compared to how it actually aired live. I still enjoyed it very much though!

Those Coliseum edits on these two events were brutal. I was so glad when WWE finally released them in full on that Anthology set.

was just reading don muraco was supposed to be on warriors team but left wwf and brunzell replaced him. then jyd was supposed to be on jakes team but he left and 1st brian blair was replacement but he left last minute and they put scott casey in. bummer. both jyd/muraco woulda been much better. cool video: |

You know I have been a wrestling fan for 30 years, but in all that time I have only seen the 1987 Survivor Series once!!!!!
So rather than just posting a bunch of fake BS opinions and memories I am skipping Survivor Series 1987
Survivor Series 1988
1) What do you rate this event? (1-5, 5 being the best): 5
2) What were you looking forward to or most excited to see at this event?: The huge tag team match is the one that I was really excited to see when I got this on VHS. I had this as a kid and it was one of my favorite tapes back in the day and I watched it to death.
3) What did you like most about this event?: having 4 mens tag matches. It has to be that 20 man tag team match. It was pure chaos and I loved it, even if the ending of it was strange.
4) What did hate most about this event?: nothing! loved it all. The whole Demolition and Powers of Pain thing was really weird.
5) What could/would have made this event better to/for you?: I really cannot think of anything I would change
a) best match: The match with all the tag teams
b) worst match: I do not think any of the matches were "bad" but my least favorite is the one with Jake's team going against Andre's.
c) fav match: Again and I sound like a broken record, but that 20 man match with the tag teams is still my favorite.
