Sweet pick ups!!! Quick question... I’ve been wondering this for a while are his boots the same height as the undertaker’s and would you mind taking a pic next to him?

Is that an unpainted Kane torso? I may be one of the few that might buy the figure because of that, but wouldn’t have without this torso knowledge. Looks like it could be a decent base for a Scott Steiner custom. I like Anvil or the Retrofest Duggan for Rick, but have always felt the Ryback/Warrior ripped singlet torso looked off for Scott. He’s a big guy with huge arms/chest, but that ripped definition always looks off when i try to make Scott, especially a younger version.
Sorry for those bummed about Ohno, and me being off topic, but I’m intrigued now.

I want to know because I want to see if it’s swappable for a laceless undertaker boot

My friends use to have a name for the forehead that Paige has, it was called a fivehead (cause it’s bigger than a four-head). Not sure why that did that.

Molded singlet - or not, just be thankful you can actually get hold of one and, didn't get the shaft (AGAIN), like us international collectors... minus Canadians, because even they're getting this one.

This is a very odd complaint to me considering Ohno's attire isn't intended to be removed. Mattel isn't here to supply us with parts. With the shirt on, as intended, it looks fine. That's where I'm at. I guess everyone's mileage may vary, but like, I've got a Kevin Owens elite up on my shelf, and it never once occurred to me to try and see what's under his shirt. Mattel seriously just can't win with some people. I think it's a great looking figure. the information is used to see if all of the parts of the figure can be used for customs - and if so, how they work together

Thats shocking, not to mention the sloppy paint app on the vest at the shoulders. Terrible from Mattel. You mean the part of his shirt that his hair covers?

I know why this is so jimmie rustling to some people. It's still silly, because no part of Mattel's business model is ever going to be catered toward the demo that wants to Frankenstein their elites. Being cross with Mattel over this is pettier than petty.

Yeah, Mattel should really consider the possibility that some people are going to buy the figure to break it. What a rip-off. *Eyeroll*

Bill is supposedly a super wrestling fan. A Japan and Indie mark to be specific. You know, the same guy who made a figure of Nakamura in his New Japan attire he never once wore on WWE TV. He knows Ohno has spent the better part of the last decade with his shirt off. It's not that much to ask for Ohno to have a normal torso under the shirt. Surely he knew some people would want to take it off given how successful Chris Hero was outside of WWE. It's not even the same conversation as a guy like Foley who never wrestled without his shirt on.
I wasn't planning to take the shirt off. I'm going to display him as he comes, but I do think it's unfortunate for people who wanted him in more of an Evolve look or to make an ROH custom out of him. Even though he's probably too bulky for his look prior to like 2014. It just feels like a thing Mattel doesn't do, and it's weird it happened here imo. A cloth shirt and a normal torso should have been the way to go on this one. That said, I still absolutely love the figure. They nailed the scan.

A cloth shirt probably wasn’t in the budget. But again like others have said the figure isn’t designed to have a removable shirt. It’s designed for the shirt to stay on. And honestly it’s a good business practice by Mattel. Someone wants to take apart and customize a figure then why not make it so someone who wants to do it is forced to buy another figure to do it?

I'm all for people doing as they please with the figures Mattel puts out. Some of the customizers out there have put out some really impressive work. Nevertheless, dragging Mattel for not including parts that are intentionally obscured and not ever meant to be seen on a finished product that would otherwise suit the needs of those customizers just reeks of looking for something to gripe about. Mattel's objective here was to put out a relatively current representation of Kassius Ohno as he appears on WWE branded programming. Expecting anything more from them because of how the performer may have appeared in previous iterations with other organizations (or even in previous appearances with the same), especially in an instance where a figure is otherwise mostly universally well received, stinks of entitlement.
In almost any other instance (an open vest, a side cut shirt, a cloth goods shirt, or even a clasped shirt), the complaint would hold total merit, but when the accessory in question needs to cut, or the finished product otherwise altered in order to facilitate removal, you're just grasping at straws to lodge another complaint against "muh quality control".

The irony is Foley wore a singlet underneath his attires, but Mattel utilizes a bare chubby torso (JYD/George Steele) underneath. It's reasonable to expect they could've done the same here for Ohno. Still an terrific figure I'll probably never find. are those the long lost road warriors boots on ohno? Looks like a new mold entirely. They seem very similar to what Andrade wears IRL except there are straps on the inside instead of laces.

It’s just complaining to complain. If anything people should be pissed that here’s a singlet top that’s not going to be seen because of the shirt so it won’t get scratched or chip and they cast it in flesh tone. Yet for figures like Bret, Crow Sting, Anvil. etc they cast it in the singlet color and paint the flesh tone which can easily be scratched or chipped off. lol

>guy is depicted in his current gear >in his current gear, he never takes off his shirt >people dogpile Mattel for ludicrious reasoning
come again? not to mention but he's WAAAAY too fat for it to depict his runs in 2013 and before, gonna need the Funk torso for that
I could literally do the same thing with a Mankind figure, lambasting Mattel in the process; while the thread would unironically agree with me in doing so. The complaint is null and void when you have to DIRECTLY modify the figure

While I agree Mattel takes on some unnecessary criticism, the white-knighting for Mattel is equally as tiresome.
(Ain’t nobody trying to be Assassin over here, lol)
