I thought this was a fantastic show. Enjoyed all of it. 🤷🏼♂️

I think the thing that hurt it for me was having the women 1st. They absolutely stole the freaking show, and what I'm sure were pretty good Riddle/Balor and men's war games matches were a little dull for me, because the women's match and Dain/Priest/Dunne kind of exhausted me mentally. There was just so much going on and both of those matches were fantastic I had no energy left to pay as close attention to the 2nd half of the card.
Good god that women's match. Probably my favourite match of the year from any promotion. I didn't think anything was gonna top Cody/Dustin from double or nothing for me, but wow, this might have.

I went into this TakeOver with high hopes for the women's War Game match. With that being said.... I was definitely disappointed.
I think everyone guessed that Dakota was gonna turn on Tegan/team and she did do just that. But why not go to the ring and help out the heels then?? Instead, she just walked back after coming out again to attack Tegan. It just felt very underwhelming.
So not only do we lose Dakota, we lose Tegan, giving it a 4 on 2 advantage. This would have been a perfect time even for a double cross on Shayna's team and have Bianca go after her, or if not that, have Toni Storm come down and Mia Yim to return from the hospital to help the team.
I just didn't end up satisfied with that match. I get it if people did like it, cool! But for me?? Not so much.

If I had to guess, with both of them recently coming back from career-threatening injuries, putting them through a war games match would be a bit risky. I have to imagine the turn wasn't supposed to come until later in the match with Dakota maybe rushing out to attack Teagan on her way down (4 on 3 is less crazy), but Mia actually effed herself up during that ladder match so they called an audible to do it here. At least, that's my guess.

I miss you too. My schedule has been al kinds of hugged up lately and I don't watch most WWE shows when they air anymore. I catch up on them (and AEW) in one binge watch over the weekend.

I was there live and this was the thought of everyone around me when Dakota made her heel turn. We thought Toni Storm would come out, or atleast that Shayna’s team would win pretty quickly. Or why not have Dakota come down to the ring, only to leave the cage and cost her team the match. Before the turn the match was going great, but the “Superman” booking Rhea got was a bit ridiculous at the end. I thought Balor/Riddle was fine, but my friends weren’t fans of it. The triple threat match was surprisingly entertaining. And the men’s war games was fantastic.

After having watched and enjoyed this, I still say Mauro is a god awful commentator.

After having watched and enjoyed this, I still say Mauro is a god awful commentator. Why? Because he gets genuinely invested and excited by the product he is watching? He’s not as over the top as god-awful Joey Styles. I think his passion for it on commentary is great to hear. Sure the screaming so often can get annoying, but I would rather him than say, JR, who just sounds so bored with it and constantly f’s up names, moves, hell even the name of the very show they are on 😂

I personally don't mind any of them theyre all leagues better than Michael Cole and light years ahead of the wprst commentator of all time JBL.

Show was one of the weaker Takeovers IMO. The women's war games was great, same with the triple threat match but the rest of the event was dull for me.

It’s nothing new with Kevin Dunn but anyone else pissed that when Ciampa and Cole took their big spot, we have an above camera angle watching them go down but right before they hit the table, it cuts to another angle. I was there live but watching it back on the network it sucks because the camera cut ruins the impact of the bump IMO. Right before they hit the table the camera cuts and it’s like they already were counting the three before you realize what happened.

Dakota's heel turn on Team Ripley turning on Nox brutalizing her...that was shocking because she is the last person who I expected to turn heel

I actually liked that they didn't go with the "injured talent making the save only to lose it for their team" cliche. I too thought that was the direction it was headed, and I assume everyone else did as well. So them giving us something new and fresh, made me even more impressed. As for why Dakota didn't help the heels... just because she felt disrespected by her "friends" doesn't mean she forgot everything Baszler has done to her.

However, Kevin Owens his return last night to NXT was even more shocking but it makes me wonder if Owens is now a part of NXT's Men's Survivor Series team?

Finished watching it, overall enjoyed the show. Good to see KO back, hopefully gets utilized in NXT well. Gotta agree about Mauro, guy needs to relax. His constant yelling takes away from watching the matches.

I was expecting Mia and Toni to come out, but having them not come out I think made this match more special. They pulled it off so well too. It didn't feel like Rhea and Candace were superwomen, it just felt like war games is a freaking brutal match where you get laid out for large chunks of time, and capitalizing at the right moment can steal a win even at a disadvantage. But, all the more reason I really wish this one was the main event. We all knew Rhea was a star, but this was absolutely her star making performance, and her and Candace standing tall at the end would have made for a perfect ending to the entire show.

At least, that's my guess. Mia wrestled on the smackdown after the ladder match, so I think she is OK. I have felt this was the plan all along for dakota to turn heel. As soon as Rhea picked Mia over her for the wargames team, I felt she would turn. I also think that the week on nxt where everyone got laid out backstage and where Bayley turned up to deck Shayna at the end... Dakota will be behind some of those attacks.
