Thought the two War Games matches were amazing. Was definitely expecting Toni Time, but I’m guessing they didn’t want to have the same situation twice since KO was the surprise for the men’s match. Rhea looked amazing, and I have no problem with pushing her this much. She’s a legit star and she’s nowhere near her ceiling yet imo. I can’t believe Cole took that bump at the end. Either guy messes that up just a little and Cole is a vegetable. But I loved both matches and was really happy with them.
Didn’t care for either of the other two matches. The end of the triple threat picked up but I just never got into it. Riddle and Balor just felt painfully obvious and they mostly worked like two guys feeling each other out. Neither match was bad but both pretty forgettable for me. I’m a big fan of Balor and Riddle and I hope they get another shot to do more with each other at some point.

I actually liked that they didn't go with the "injured talent making the save only to lose it for their team" cliche. I too thought that was the direction it was headed, and I assume everyone else did as well. So them giving us something new and fresh, made me even more impressed. As for why Dakota didn't help the heels... just because she felt disrespected by her "friends" doesn't mean she forgot everything Baszler has done to her. I feel the same way. I was expecting Mia and Toni to come out, but having them not come out I think made this match more special. They pulled it off so well too. It didn't feel like Rhea and Candace were superwomen, it just felt like war games is a freaking brutal match where you get laid out for large chunks of time, and capitalizing at the right moment can steal a win even at a disadvantage. But, all the more reason I really wish this one was the main event. We all knew Rhea was a star, but this was absolutely her star making performance, and her and Candace standing tall at the end would have made for a perfect ending to the entire show. I'm thinking the only reason the men went on last was because of the Kevin Owens surprise. It kept fans guessing throughout the show.

I can’t take Dijakovic serious. He looks like a 2003 SmackDown heel who would beat up Cruiserweights for weeks and then face the Undertaker at some random PPV.

Why? Because he gets genuinely invested and excited by the product he is watching? He’s not as over the top as god-awful Joey Styles. I think his passion for it on commentary is great to hear. Sure the screaming so often can get annoying, but I would rather him than say, JR, who just sounds so bored with it and constantly f’s up names, moves, hell even the name of the very show they are on 😂 He ing screams at the most mundane of things. There’s over the top then there’s Mauro. He needs a chill pill. I agree. I dont watch a whole lot of nxt or current wrestling in general but the commentary on both wwe and nxt sucks. Mauro can be okay but his constant terrible puns and references to current affairs plus the screaming is really annoying. HOLY BLEEP I mean cmon

But the rest imo give Mauro actual personality and charm. He doesn't sound like an animatronic like the rest of them

It needs to be commended of what Triple H said about Brit Baker showing up on the camera at the end of WG. He said he wouldn't want to do anything that would jeopardize her and her position in AEW. It was a classy move, especially in a dirty war of words between both sides.
