In my opinion it would be better to do away with doing the same invasion angles at this time every year. These superstars switch brands constantly, but suddenly in November it’s all about brand loyalty. Why do they suddenly care about defending the brand? It would maybe be more interesting if it was presented as they have an incentive to win. Like title shots or special requests if you win. Or just have matches where the teams are made up of a mix from the brands. The invasion thing is played out, especially when they open the show telling you it’s going to happen. Was discussing this with friends last night while watching Survivor Series and came up with the perfect incentive. Brand that wins gets #30 at the Rumble. If you won your match and/or were a survivor on the winning team then you’ll compete for the #30 spot. So Lio vs Strong and Rhea vs Shayna vs Candace vs Io would wrestle for #30.

I think they should do away with calling it War Games because from what I saw the first year it was “brought back” it was nothing like War Games. But yeah it shouldn’t be the night before Survivor Series if they are going to continue NXT being part of Survivor Series. They wont. Cody Rhodes asked to buy the name because his "dad came up with the concept on a napkin at a diner". Cody wants AEW to do a proper (closed top) wargames. Vince wont sell him the name. So Cody trademarked "the match beyond" which was what the original wargames was touted as. He also trademarked "blood and guts", "superbrawl", "slamboree", and "bash at the beach".

I think it was unfortunate that they were doing War Games the same weekend as involving NXT in Survivor Series. It should have been one or the other.
You really have to suspend disbelief when Io & Candace have been locked into a months-long feud, kill each other starting off the inaugural women's war games together and then see them the next night team up at Survivor Series. There's no need to put War Games at Thanksgiving, I mean you don't even have a roof on the double cage so tradition is out the window.

Might be better to swap it with the summer one.
